“Richard Gadd, star of Baby Reindeer, has made his first public appearance since the widely shared Fiona Harvey interview – however, this time, the attention is not on her.”
Fiona Harvey, also known as the ‘real-life Martha’, appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored last week and made several allegations against Gadd. However, Gadd chose not to publicly address these accusations.
Despite this, Gadd has recently made her first public appearance since then at the TV BAFTA Awards where she was accompanied by her co-star, Jessica Gunning, who plays fictional character Martha.

Despite not being nominated for any awards, the duo was present at the event to present the award for Limited Drama, which was ultimately won by The Sixth Commandment. This may change next year when they are likely to be nominated.
During the red-carpet arrivals and in his award introduction speech, Gadd remained silent on Baby Reindeer and the Fiona Harvey interview.
Despite the pair’s presence being noticed by many fans, it caused a division in fan opinion. One fan expressed confusion and concern, stating “What is he thinking? Is he really hanging out with his stalker? This will only make things worse.”This comment was posted on X/Twitter by user Alex79uk.
Another person added, “He should feel ashamed,”while a third person disagreed, stating, “Jessica deserves every award, as does Richard!”
One individual mentioned: “We were anticipating Fiona’s arrival,” while another remarked: “I hope he brings some evidence with him.”
During her interview, Harvey asserted that Gadd was mentally unstable, stating, “He’s psychotic, and his behavior is outrageous.”She also acknowledged that the show is a fictional and exaggerated portrayal. Additionally, she reaffirmed her intention to sue both Gadd and Netflix for defamation.
Since Baby Reindeer and Richard Gadd were not nominated, many may question why. The reason is quite straightforward – they will be considered for next year’s awards season. As the limited series was only recently made available on Netflix, it missed the deadline for this year’s awards. Most of the competing programs were first aired in 2023.
