As we enter the final week of Season 4 of Fortnite, players are looking to get as many missions from their Battle Pass as possible. On March 8, the new season will be released, and everything that was in the last season will no longer be available.
The Oathbound quests are also coming to an end, and it’s time to contact Stellan, the Rift Keeper, to get the coordinates of the Rift Gate. In this guide, you will learn how to complete these final tasks and complete this season’s main storyline.
Oath bound
These quests are also a great way to learn about the game’s story, and upon completion of each stage, players receive 20,000 XP. This is very important as we are in the final days of the season and players are trying to get as many Battle Stars as possible to unlock as many Battle Pass rewards as possible.
Players must complete two parts of the five stages to open the Breach Gate and receive the Island Badges loading screen. Completing Oathbound quests is also critical to understanding Fortnite’s storyline, as well as its live events taking place between seasons.
The player must first contact Stellan, Rift Keeper, at one of the three Bastion outposts surrounding the Cold Cave. The jump pads at these outposts are a great way to get around while completing these quests, as players will be moving back and forth quite frequently.
Players then need to head down to the Cold Cave, where they will find the Leaning Tower Clock building and use their laptop to get the coordinates of the Breach Gate. After that, they will need to enter these coordinates on the gate control terminal in Lonely Labs.
After that, they should contact Stellan (the Rift Keeper) again, and then return to the control terminal and try to open the Rift Gate. It is argued that they may be unstable, but if they are, then dangerous consequences can arise.
To open the rift gate, players must return to Lonely Labs and interact with the terminal by pressing and holding the “Open Rift Gate” button. A lantern will pop out of the gate, identical to the one found in Lucky Landing on the first Fortnite map. The Guardian notes that it is not stabilized and cannot be turned off; it looks like it has been sabotaged and can open the entire sky – what is on the other side is unknown.
At the final stage of the mission, you will be able to talk to two NPCs: Evie and Scraper Knight Jules, Snowheart or Princess Felicity Fish.
This is a shocking conclusion to the Season 1 Chapter 4 storyline, and the lantern could be an indicator that a map change could be happening in the near future.
Fortnite is available for mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
