Riot announces Valorant Console Beta starting on June 14 for a few select regions

The announcement of the Valorant Console Beta was made during the Summer Game Fest 2024. After much anticipation, Riot has officially announced the release of the beloved first-person shooter game for various platforms. The limited beta will be accessible in selected regions starting on June 14th of next week.

The Valorant limited console beta, starting on 14 June 2024, has an unannounced end date according to Riot Games. Based on previous beta tests, it is expected to run for approximately one month. An open beta is expected to follow shortly after.

How to Join the Valorant Console Beta

To register for the limited beta, please follow these instructions:

  • Visit the official website for the beta version of Valorant.
  • Select the option “Register Now”.
  • If you already have a Riot account, click on “Sign In.”Otherwise, click on “Sign Up.”
  • Please provide your account information.
  • Hold on for verification.

Upon successful registration, you will be sent an email confirming your registration. If chosen, you will also be sent an invitation code and a referral link via email.

Even if your current region is not listed, we still encourage you to sign up for the beta.

Supported Regions

Currently, the Limited Console Beta for Valorant is only accessible in a limited number of regions. Below is a list of the supported regions:

  • Europe (selectively)
  • Japan

Riot has confirmed that Valorant on consoles will offer specially designed gameplay. At the moment, there are no intentions to incorporate crossplay between platforms. However, it is possible to use the same account on multiple platforms and synchronize progression.

What is Valorant?

Valorant, developed and published by Riot Games, is a first-person tactical shooter that is free-to-play. It utilizes Unreal Engine 4 and has a large community of competitive players.

The game takes place on a futuristic version of Earth and showcases a group of individuals called Agents, each possessing distinct abilities that can be strategically utilized. The two opposing teams, Attackers and Defenders, consist of ten players who compete to win the majority of rounds. Prior to each match, players can buy various weapons, shields, and abilities to use in-game.
