Riot Games announces Valorant Champions 2026 and 2027 locations

Riot Games has announced the locations for the upcoming Valorant Champions tournaments for the next three years, leading up to the Grand Final of the 2024 event.

The Valorant developer revealed on August 21 that the 2025 Valorant Champions will once again be held in Europe, specifically in Paris, France. This marks the return of a VCT event to the region, the last one being Masters Madrid earlier this year. Prior to that, Valorant Champions were hosted in Turkey and Germany in 2021 and 2022 respectively.

In 2026, the Valorant World Championships will take place in China. The first Masters event to be held in China was Masters Shanghai in 2024, which, as reported by Riot, attracted over 2 million viewers at its peak.

Riot has confirmed that the Valorant Champions event will make its return to the Americas region in 2027. However, the exact location has not been announced yet and it is unclear if the event will be held in Canada, the United States, Brazil, or Latin America. In 2023, the event was hosted in Los Angeles.

In 2025, Canada will experience its inaugural Valorant Champions Tour event with Masters Toronto, while Brazil was able to experience a major VCT event in 2023 with VCT LOCK//IN. However, Latin America has not yet had the opportunity to host a large-scale Valorant event like Champions, only hosting the 2024 VCT Americas Ascension tournament thus far.

Typically, Riot Games does not disclose the locations of their major esports events so far in advance. Instead, they usually announce the host cities for their World Championship events in Valorant and League of Legends a few months prior to the actual event.

Despite this, the developer appears to have a long-term plan for Valorant, as they have already secured deals with these host cities in advance to solidify their locations, making it easier for fans and teams to plan for the future.

Valorant currently features four prominent international leagues and just three major tournaments annually, suggesting that the developer is making an effort to provide every regional fanbase with the opportunity to witness a team achieve the title of World Champion.
