Neverlands noted the striking resemblance between member Yuqi’s scene in the music video and her portrayal of the notorious villain Cruella de Vil. They also pointed out that Yanitsa wore a similar fur coat and was accompanied by a Dalmatian dog, just like Yuqi’s character.
Additionally, in addition to the aforementioned, fans also pointed out the resemblance in set design, specifically noting the use of a white backdrop, black carpet, runway-inspired elements, and furniture.

Yuqi from (G)I-DLE Discusses Contract Expiration with Cube Entertainment
On February 1, Yuqi made a special appearance on the YouTube show “No Back Tak”. During the episode, hosts Tak Hae Hoon and Shin Gyu Jin talked about Yuqi’s popularity on Instagram, as she had over eight million followers on the platform.
As the topic was discussed, the hosts inquired about whether Yuqi followed any accounts in return. The idol clarified that she doesn’t as Cube Entertainment prohibits her from doing so. Tak Jae Hoon then proceeded to ask the singer about the expiration date of her exclusive contract with the company.
In response, Yuqi exclaimed, “We only have one year and three months left!“
Tak Jae Hoon couldn’t resist teasing her, seeing how excited she was in her response. He jokingly commented, “Looks like you’ve been eagerly anticipating this, huh?“
Despite Yuqi’s efforts to conceal her excitement, the hosts were quick to notice her upbeat demeanor and genuine smile when she answered the question.
While on the show, host Shin Gyu Jin drew a comparison between Yuqi’s situation and that of men serving in the military, noting how they eagerly anticipate their discharge. In response, Yuqi jokingly expressed her gratitude for her agency by playfully making a heart gesture and stating, “No, I love Cube!“
