RM took part in the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs’ “Thank You to Uniformed Personnel Campaign.” The donation aims to honor and support the welfare of veterans, uniformed personnel, and their families.
On September 12th, RM shared his thoughts via his agency BigHit Music: “I have recently witnessed the dedication of many individuals in the field who have served the country. I hope this small contribution can help all the heroes currently dedicating themselves to the nation and those who have worked for peace. I also want to sincerely thank ARMY, who always shower me with love and support.”
RM has a history of engaging in charitable activities to celebrate his birthday. For instance, he contributed to the Korean Society For Legal Medicine last year, focusing on the significance of expert training. In both 2021 and 2022, he donated to the Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation, aiding in the restoration and preservation of cultural heritage. Furthermore, since 2023, RM has been serving as an ambassador for the Ministry of National Defense’s Remains Recovery and Identification Team, actively promoting the recovery of remains.
BTS, as a group, is also recognized for their philanthropic efforts. Since 2017, they have been running the “LOVE MYSELF” campaign in partnership with BigHit Music, advocating for self-love and anti-violence. Their official fan club, ARMY, has consistently engaged in charitable work, supporting underprivileged children and teenagers, thus fostering a positive cycle of giving.
The “Thank You to Uniformed Personnel Campaign” strives to cultivate a culture of respect and gratitude for uniformed personnel. This year’s key message, “Another National Representative That Korea Should Support,” encourages the public to appreciate and encourage those who serve the country while proudly wearing the Korean flag on their uniforms.
