When playing Anime Reborn, the unit selection can significantly impact your success. This comprehensive guide equips you with vital information to help you invest your hard-earned gems wisely, ensuring your team is formidable while also highlighting units that may not be worth your time.
Ranking All Units in Anime Reborn
This section provides a detailed ranking of every unit within Anime Reborn, allowing you to pinpoint the strongest characters available. Considering the scarcity of resources and the multitude of options, making educated choices on gem expenditure is essential.
Always focus on investing in banners showcasing higher-tier characters. This guide meticulously breaks down all units, helping you avoid the pitfall of wasting gems on characters with minimal battle impact. Initially, your team can include only four units per match, unlocking a fifth slot at Level 15 and a sixth at Level 30.
Tier | Unit Name |
---|---|
S | Android 21, Dragon Emperor, Greybeard, Hawk Eyes, Itaha, Water Goddess |
A | Brolio, Bulba, Oda, Speedcart, Sun Prodigy, Super Gohu, Vegoto |
B | Boulder Lee, Darkbeard, King Rimura, Kuzar, Payne, Ruki |
C | Hey, Killa, Neja, Sijin, Urio, Yaske, Zenith |
D | Ihigo, Inoke, Kurulin, Laugfy, Noroto, Sukura, Susake, Tin Tin, Usog, Zero |
S-Tier Units
Android 21: A pivotal unit with full AoE (Area of Effect) capabilities and exceptional stats. As a hill unit, she dominates expansive areas, although she sacrifices AoE with max upgrades for extended range, a trade-off that proves beneficial.
Dragon Emperor: This unit is a powerhouse, functioning as a hybrid with high stat values and a valuable support passive upon evolution. Although attaining and evolving him requires significant effort, his in-game performance justifies the grind.
Greybeard: With a formidable blend of full AoE, excellent range, and hybrid utility, Greybeard evolves to gain a stun effect, solidifying his status as a top-tier choice for both early and late-game strategies.
Hawk Eyes: Renowned as the ultimate boss annihilator, Hawk Eyes offers a massive damage increment against bosses, increasing by up to 250% when evolved. His AoE and manageable attack speed make him adept at crowd control during fierce battles.
Itaha: Combining burn effects with impressive DPS (Damage Per Second), Itaha’s hybrid capability after several enhancements makes him essential for mob control. His superb range and DoT (Damage over Time) attributes enhance his versatility.
Water Goddess: A superb support unit that boosts the range and damage output of her nearby allies, this unit’s minimal placement cost allows strategic team compositions centered around synergy. Personally, I enjoy incorporating Water Goddess into my matches for her valuable contributions.
A-Tier Units
Brolio: With robust DPS and decent range, Brolio stands out as a reliable pick for solo gameplay across various modes. His upgrade costs are high, but the effectiveness he brings to battles ensures his A-tier ranking.
Bulba: Known for her affordability and reliability, Bulba helps manage resources effectively, although her direct damage output may be lacking.
Oda: Oda boasts impressive range and DPS along with a crit chance boost when positioned near other units. Although he excels with a large AoE capacity post-upgrades, he cannot target air units, disqualifying him from S-tier ranking.
Speedcart: Recognized as the top farming unit, her passive ability lowers the upgrade costs of nearby units, making her indispensable during Infinite mode and extended battles.
Sun Prodigy: An early-access unit, Sun Prodigy features burn damage and respectable DPS capabilities, proving to be a decent temporary solution until higher-tier units are accessible.
Super Gohu: As a hill unit, Super Gohu provides good DPS; however, his line attack and lackluster passive diminish his versatility compared to his peers.
Vegoto: Despite some disagreement, I believe Vegoto’s enhanced range and powerful attacks can be game-changers in tight situations, which justifies his A-tier positioning.
B-Tier Units
Boulder Lee: With full AoE after upgrades, Boulder Lee excels particularly in Infinite mode. His high upgrade cost makes him less viable in shorter battles, influencing his placement.
Darkbeard: Darkbeard’s full AoE damage, paired with a slowing effect, positions him as an effective support option. Although upgrading him can be expensive, his utility secures his ranking.
King Rimura: As the weakest of the secret units, King Rimura possesses decent range and damage; however, his slow attack speed and lack of AoE capabilities hinder his effectiveness.
Kuzar: Featuring substantial DPS and a low SPA (Speed Per Attack) value, Kuzar transitions into a hybrid unit with upgrades but remains a starter-level asset.
Payne: While Payne offers full AoE and stun capabilities, his unsatisfactory DPS and slow spa prevent him from emerging as a top-tier character.
Ruki: Ruki contributes by freezing enemies while delivering solid DPS. Her combination of freeze capabilities along with slow debuffs makes her excellent for controlling crowds in battle.
C-Tier Units
Heyey: With limited range and damage output, Heyey struggles to compete, landing him among the less effective epic units.
Killa: Despite possessing a stun feature and decent SPA, Killa is ultimately outclassed by stronger units like Ruki and Darkbeard.
Neja: Neja starts weak but dramatically improves with upgrades, achieving full AoE capabilities and decent DPS; nonetheless, he is best suited for mid-game scenarios.
Sijin: As the premier rare unit with full AoE and burn capabilities, Sijin serves as a robust early-game carry, but his dependence on higher-tier units can render him ineffective later on.
Uriu: With mediocre stats and a low slow chance, Uriu is underwhelming overall, only delivering mild benefits in niche situations.
Yaske: Solid DPS and range make Yaske a viable starter unit, though he is quickly surpassed by better legendaries and mythics.
Zenit: Initially offering strong AoE capabilities upon placement, Zenit loses his advantage after upgrades. He proves useful during early matches but should be replaced in the long run.
D-Tier Units
Ihigo: As the best starter for newcomers, Ihigo has decent range and air-targeting options, yet his lack of power as the game progresses renders him less beneficial. I initially used Ihigo, but I swiftly moved on to Water Goddess.
Inoke: Inoke suffers from poor range and damage, resembling Heyey in ineffectiveness.
Kurulin: While Kurulin targets air, making him somewhat helpful early on, he quickly loses relevance as stronger units become available.
Laugfy: Characterized by his cone AoE, Laugfy serves as an adequate early starting option but fails to impress later in gameplay.
Noroto: With a passive that bolsters damage when near other Norotos, he has potential but lacks substantial impact overall.
Sukura: Identified as one of the weakest rare units available, Sukura’s affordability may help beginners get started but isn’t enough for success.
Susake: He provides only slight DPS improvements over the lowest-tier units, not sufficient for a competitive edge.
Tin Tin: Tin Tin’s 10% attack boost is so minimal it rarely impacts gameplay, rendering him ineffective.
Usog: While one of the few rare units capable of targeting air, his lacking overall stats diminish his utility.
Zero: With disappointing DPS, Zero fails to measure up against practically all other rare units in the game.
