Minions are the most common opponents of Team Go Rocket in Pokémon Go . Find out how to recognize and defeat each of them.

Team Go Rocket’s henchmen are everywhere, but fortunately they are the least dangerous fighters in their evil organization. Indeed, the leaders Arlo, Cliff and Sierra are much more threatening… and that’s without even mentioning the boss of Team Go Rocket: Giovanni.

However, each minion of Team Go Rocket specializes in a type of Pokémon (with the exception of two very specific minions). Therefore, it is advisable to choose your Pokémon wisely when facing a Rocket minion. In addition to guaranteeing you victory, this will often allow you to save potions.

Fortunately, despite their apparent similarities, each Rocket minion offers you a clue before initiating your fight through a specific phrase. A dialogue that tells you about the main type they will use, as well as the various Pokémon that will make up their team.

How to beat Rocket Minions on Pokémon Go?

The Minions make up the ranks of Team Go Rocket and are just waiting to be beaten!

There is no shortage of reasons to beat the many minions of Team Go Rocket. In addition to allowing you to catch and purify an obscure Pokémon, you will also get a mysterious item to assemble after each battle. Once the 6 parts are in your possession, this gives you access during your next meeting with Team Go Rocket, to one of the leaders of the organization, Arlo, Cliff or Sierra.

In this article you will be able to find each dialogue of Minion Go Rocket and the type that corresponds to it. To go a little further, we also detail the Pokémon available to each of the minions.

Go Rocket Minions team composition

Are you afraid of kinesists who have occult powers?

This Minion will use Psychic-type Pokémon. The ideal is therefore to oppose it with monsters of the Ghost, Darkness or Insect type.

Battle against my Flying-type Pokémon!

As you can easily guess, these will be Flying type Pokémon that will be present. The best counters are therefore the Electric, Rock or Ice types.

Look at my adorable Pokémon

This Minion has Fairy-type Pokémon, a powerful type with few counters. Send Poison or Steel Pokémon into battle to maximize your chances.

Ready to pounce on the opponent!

This Minion will use Poison-type Pokémon, so choose powerful Psychic or Ground Pokémon to defeat this opponent.

Don’t come near us!

With this sentence, the Minion tells you that his team will be made up of Plant Pokémon. The most effective counters will therefore be of the Fire type such as Charizard, Moltres, Entei, and other Pyroli but also the Insect, Ice, Flying and Poison types.

Did you know that some Pokémon breathe fire?

Do we really need to explain this to you? With this “hint” you will understand that you are about to fight against a Fire type specialist. So think of Water, Rock, and Ground types like Tortank, Tyranitar, Aquali, and Rhinoceros.

Ready for a shock!

No real surprise here since Team Go Rocket’s Minion will use Electric Pokémon. The most effective Pokémon will be Ground-type like Groudon, Rhinastoc, Hippowdon and Golem.

Show him what insect Pokémon are made of!

As its very cryptic sentence indicates, this Minion Rocket will therefore have Pokémon… of the Insect type! The best counters are Fire, Flying, and Rock types. It’s up to you to choose between Pokémon like Charizard, Moltres, Golem, etc.

Ke…ke…ke…ke…ke…ke…

This Minion will use Ghost-type Pokémon and the best types to oppose it are Darkness and Ghost with Pokémon like Dimoret, Gengar, Spectrum and Darkrai.

I’m going to land a punch!

A little more technical than the others, this line of dialogue indicates that the Minion will have rock-type Pokémon! So plan a team made up of Combat types like Macogneur, Quicklee or Bétochef

Normal does not mean weak

Quite obviously once again, this Minion will use Normal type Pokémon. Faced with this, only one solution, the Combat type, the only weakness of the Normal type with Machamp, Bétochef, Palarticho and other Karaclée.

Raaaahhh!!! … It was good?

Behind this “roar” (?) hides a Minion specialized in the Dragon type, therefore not to be underestimated. Fortunately with good Ice or Fairy type Pokémon like Dimoret, Givrali and Nymphali, everything should go well. Also remember to take an Electric Pokémon to grill its possible Gyarados.

These waters are dangerous

As you might expect, you will have to face Water-type Pokémon against these Minions. The best counters are therefore Plant and Electric types like Jungko, Phyllali, Raikou and Magnezone.

My biscuits aren’t just there to look pretty!

The most muscular Pokémon are obviously those of the Fighting type and that is what awaits you against this Minion. Equip yourself with Pokémon of the Psychic, Flying and Fairy types such as Alakazam, Gardevoir, Togekiss or Lugia.

You will freeze in place

New clue difficult to understand, this Minion will have a team specialized in the Ice type. To beat him, nothing better than Fire, Steel, Fighting and Rock types like Charizard, Galeking, Machamp or Tyranitar.

As they say, where there is light, there is shadow

Speaking of shadow, it’s clearly the Dark type that will be in the spotlight with this Minion, so it’s up to you to pit it against Pokémon of the Fighting, Insect and Fairy types. So think of Pokémon like Lucario, Scarabrute, Scarhino, and Gardevoir.

You’re going to bite the dust!

The Sol type awaits you through this Team Go Rocket Minion. You will therefore need to prepare yourself with Water, Grass or Ice type Pokémon. However, avoid Poison, Rock or worse, Electric Pokémon.

You will never surpass me and my iron will!

Behind this arrogant challenge hides the minion specializing in Steel Pokémon. Fire, Fighting and Ground type monsters will be your best allies to defeat this odious member of Team Go Rocket.

Behind these lines of dialogue are actually two henchmen of Team Go Rocket with radically different teams.

These two evildoers are the most powerful of the gang, since they are not limited to Pokémon of a single type, which makes them more unpredictable.
