Orson Krennic is slated to return for Andor Season 2.

In a 2022 interview, series creator Tony Gilroy clarified that the show’s final shot had already been decided. This shot, along with the final three episodes of Andor, will serve as the link between the series and Rogue One.

In a previous interview with The Playlist, Gilroy revealed that the final scene of the show will feature [Cassian] walking across the tarmac to board the ship and travel to the Rings of Kafrene to meet Daniel Mays’ character. This scene is no secret and takes place five days before the events of Rogue One.

The show has already explored the concept of recurring characters by featuring returning faces such as Duncan Pow as Rebel soldier Ruescott Melshi and Forest Whittaker as revolutionary Saw Guerrera.

Currently, there have been no confirmations of any additional Rogue One characters returning for Andor. It is also uncertain how much of Mendeholson’s Krennic will be involved in the show, whether it will be a recurring threat or a one-time appearance.

At the moment, there is no confirmed release date for Andor Season 2. Nevertheless, it is anticipated that the show will debut in 2025.
