On December 25, 2023, the official Twitter account for the anime announced that Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions Season 2 has been confirmed. The release date for the highly anticipated second season has also been confirmed for October 7, 2024. This adaptation of Akira Amano’s manga of the same name has been highly anticipated by fans.

The anime, which has 13 episodes, was initially produced by Studio Diomedea, known for their work on the 2010 Squid Girl anime and the Domestic Girlfriend anime adaptation. It centers around a murder mystery with a background motif inspired by the rivalry between Sherlock Holmes and James Moriarty.

Release Date for Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions Season 2

The initial installment of Forbidden Deductions, created by Ron Kamonohashi, premiered on October 2, 2023, as part of the Fall 2023 anime lineup.

The confirmation of a second season marked the end of its run in December 2024. According to the anime’s Twitter account, Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions Season 2 will join the Fall 2024 anime lineup and premiere on October 7, 2024.

Yohei Azakami will reprise his role as Ron Kamonohashi in the second season of Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions. The upcoming season will feature a new opening theme, titled “Feedback o Narashite,”performed by Humbreaders, and an ending theme, “Labyrinth,”performed by hockrockb.

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, known for his roles as As Nodt in Bleach, Raichi in Blue Lock, and Mechamaru in Jujutsu Kaisen, will be reprising his role as the antagonist Mylo Moriarty in the series.

Studio Diomedea will continue to animate the series, with Shota Ihata remaining as its director.

The conclusion of Season 1 unveiled Ron Kamonohashi as a descendant of both the Moriarty Family and the Holmes Family. This revelation only strengthened his determination to expose and bring down the Moriarty Family.

The conclusion of Season 1 further unveiled Mylo’s plan to use the situation to expose Ron to the atrocities committed by the Moriarty Family, in hopes of persuading him to give up his role as a detective.

Mylo then considered the possibility of including Ron in the M. Family. You can currently stream Season 1 of Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions on Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Amazon Prime Video.

Despite not achieving mainstream success, the anime attracted a loyal and niche fanbase with its unique blend of detective investigation and fantasy elements.
