Rooster Fighter Anime Adaptation Confirmed with PV

On the stage event at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, July 25, 2024, VIZ Media announced the production of Rooster Fighter anime in partnership with Hero’s Inc. Along with this exciting news, a teaser promotional video and a visual were released. The company also disclosed information about the anime’s production studio and main staff.

The Rooster Fighter anime is based on Shu Sakuratani’s popular manga series, “Chicken Battle Action”. The manga was first released on Hero Inc’s Complex manga site in December 2020, with the seventh volume being published on January 29, 2024. VIZ Media is responsible for publishing the English version of the manga.

Rooster Fighter Anime: Production Green-Lit at San Diego Comic-Con

On Thursday, July 25, 2024, VIz Media held a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con where they announced the production of the Rooster Fighter anime (based on Shu Sakuratani’s manga) in collaboration with Hero’s Inc. The panel was a success and the company green-lit the project.

After the announcement, VIZ Media’s official YouTube channel released a teaser promotional video for the TV anime series. The clip, which showcases iconic scenes from the manga brought to life through animation, offers a glimpse into the anime’s captivating storyline and showcases the epic battles between chickens and “demon beasts.”

Additionally, the anime’s official X account has released a teaser visual showcasing Keiji and Chik, the main characters of Sakuratani’s manga. The image portrays the pair in a determined and intense stance, prepared to conquer their adversaries.

Furthermore, on his official X account (@shu_Sakuratani), Shu Sakuratani has posted a celebratory illustration featuring Keiji, Chik, Elizabeth, and other characters. The author also included the following comments:

“‘Rooster Fighter’ will be made into an anime!!!!!!, Finally, I can let you know this great news. My long-cherished dream has come true. It’s all thanks to everyone who supported me. Thank you so much.”

It is worth noting that Adult Swim will broadcast the anime in Japan, while VIZ Media will reveal the other streaming partners at a later date. Additionally, information about the primary staff for the Rooster Fighter anime has been released.

Daisuke Suzuki serves as the director for the series at SANZIGEN Studios, while Hiroshi Seko is responsible for the series composition. The production of the series is being managed by Joseph Chou and Sola Entertainment. There is currently no information available on the cast for the anime, as it was not announced during the stage event.

The anime adaptation of Rooster Fighter will stay true to the storyline of Shu Sakuratani’s manga. It centers around Keiji, a rooster who is anything but ordinary.

Surprisingly, he serves as humanity’s strongest protector, shielding them from terrifying demonic beings.

Despite the towering stature of his opponents, Keiji possesses a stout heart that surpasses anyone’s. The upcoming anime will center on Keiji’s heroic feats.
