Roy Jones Jr. wants to fight KSI – on one condition

Roy Jones Jr., a legendary boxer, has expressed interest in fighting YouTube sensation KSI, as Mike Tyson prepares for his highly-anticipated match against Jake Paul this summer. The fight will be featured in a unique Netflix special event, a first of its kind.

Roy Jones Jr. is not the sole OG boxer who is returning to the ring to take on some younger competition. He believes he has a strong chance of defeating British influencer KSI in a hypothetical match.

On April 11, 2024, Jones was interviewed on the Misfits Boxing YouTube channel, where he discussed the potential for a match against KSI in the midst of the buzz surrounding the upcoming fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.

Despite his positive outlook, Jones believes that certain conditions would need to be met in order for him to sign the dotted line and make the fight happen.

“I believe we can make it happen,”he responded. “I recognize that KSI is talented. Although he has a unique style, Roy Jones Jr. is still a force to be reckoned with. He never backs down, and when he strikes, he does so with full force.”

“If the circumstances were right and there was sufficient time, I would consider participating. Given the opportunity to perform in front of my UK fans and the fact that I am younger than Mike Tyson, I see no reason why I couldn’t do it just as he has. However, the situation would have to be ideal and garner enough interest from the public for me to agree.”

Despite the difference in their experience in the ring, Jones did not discount KSI’s skills when questioned about how he would perform in the hypothetical match.

Jones reflected on the difficulty of dealing with the uniqueness of the person in question, noting that it was challenging to predict their presence and absence. Their unpredictable nature made it even more challenging, especially for someone whose reflexes were not as sharp as they used to be.

As of now, KSI has yet to reply to Jones’ recent comments… however, it is evident that Roy Jones Jr. is willing to fight if all conditions are met.
