1. Visit the Microsoft Support website.

2. Select the Windows 11 option under the “Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO) for x64 devices” section.

   

3. Click Download.

4. Choose your installation language.

   

5. Press Confirm.

6. Click Download to save it to your PC.

   

Upon completion of the steps, you may use the ISO to create installation media.

2. Create Windows 11 USB with Ventoy

To generate a bootable USB media using Ventoy:

1. Access the Ventoy GitHub page.

2. Download the ventoy-x.x.xx-windows.zip file found under the “Assets” section.

   

   Quick note: In some cases, your browser may detect the ventoy zip file as a security issue. You may need to keep it anyway.

3. Open File Explorer.

4. Navigating to the zip folder location.

5. Double-click the ventoy-x.x.xx-windows.zip to access its contents.

6. Select Extract all from the command bar.

   

7. Hit the Browse button.

8. Choose a destination for extracting the files.

9. Click the Select Folder button.

10. Hit Extract.

11. Open the ventoy-x.x.xx folder.

12. Double-click the Ventoy2Disk.exe file to initiate the installer.

    

13. Select your USB drive from the “Device” dropdown.

14. Click the Install button.

    

15. Confirm by clicking OK.

16. Click on This PC found in File Explorer’s left pane.

17. Access the Ventoy drive.

18. Copy and paste the Windows 11 ISO file to make it bootable.

    

After these steps, booting your computer from the Ventoy USB drive will allow you to initiate Windows 11 installation.

3. Windows 11 Unsupported Hardware Install Process with Ventoy

2. Select the Windows 11 ISO file from the Ventoy menu and hit Enter to proceed with setup.

8. Select “Install Windows 11”.

   

9. Check “I agree everything” to confirm deletion of all contents on the device.

26. Press Next.(Expect a device restart.)

27. Select “Set up for personal use” if utilizing Windows 11 Pro; this option isn’t present for Windows 11 Home.

28. Hit Next.

29. Press Sign in.

30. Insert your Microsoft account email to create your Windows 11 account.

    

31. Press Next.

32. Re-enter your Microsoft account password.

33. Hit Next.

34. Click on Create PIN.

35. Formulate a new four-digit PIN for Windows Hello.

    

36. Press OK.

Clean Install Windows 11 on Unsupported Hardware Using USB Drive

Another method is utilizing Registry modifications in conjunction with a Windows 11 USB flash drive to bypass checks and execute the clean installation of the OS.

Make sure your device can boot from USB, possibly requiring UEFI adjustments; consult your manufacturer’s documentation for tailored guidance.

1. Create Bootable USB with the Media Creation Tool

Follow these steps to create a bootable USB for Windows 11:

1. Access the Microsoft support website.

2. Hit the Download Now button in the “Create Windows 11 installation media” section.

3. Double-click the MediaCreationTool.exe to launch it.

4. Click Accept.

5. Click Next.

   

   Quick note: To create a Windows 11 USB for another model, clear the “Use the recommended options for this PC” checkbox to select the appropriate language, architecture, and edition.

6. Opt for the USB flash drive option.

   

7. Hit Next.

8. Select the USB drive from the list. Be cautious as this will erase all data on it.

   

9. Click Next.

10. Select Finish.

After these steps, you can start your UEFI-compatible device using the USB drive to commence the Windows 11 installation.

2. Windows 11 Unsupported Hardware Install from USB

To set up Windows 11 on unsupported hardware from a USB flash drive, follow these steps:

1. Start your unsupported PC with the Windows 11 USB flash drive.

2. Press any key to advance.

3. Open Command Prompt by pressing Shift + F10 on the first “Windows Setup” page.

4. Enter the following command to launch Registry Editor:

   regedit

5. Navigate to the following path:

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup

6. Right-click the Setup folder, select New, then choose Key.

   

7. Name this new key LabConfig and hit Enter.

8. Right-click the LabConfig key, select New, and then DWORD (32-bit) Value.

9. Set the key name as BypassTPMCheck and press Enter.

10. Double-click the new key and alter its value from 0 to 1.

    

11. Click OK.

12. Right-click the LabConfig key again, select New, and then choose DWORD (32-bit) Value.

13. Name this DWORD BypassSecureBootCheck and press Enter.

14. Double-click to edit the value of the new key and switch it from 0 to 1.

    

15. Hit OK.

16. Close the Registry window.

17. Exit the Command Prompt.

18. Choose your language and format.

    

19. Press Next.

20. Select your keyboard and input method.

    

21. Press Next.

22. Select “Install Windows 11”.

    

23. Check the box for “I agree everything will be deleted including files, apps, and settings”.

24. Click “I don’t have a product key”.

    

25. Select the respective edition of Windows (Windows 11 Pro or Home) based on your existing key.

    

26. Press Next.

27. Click Accept.

28. Delete each partition on your hard drive selected for Windows 11 (usually “Drive 0” carries the installation files).

    

29. Pick the unallocated drive space on your hard drive (Drive 0 Unallocated Space) for installation.

    

30. Press Next.

31. Click Install.

    

32. Choose your region during the out-of-the-box experience (OOBE).

    Quick note: The setup may change slightly as Microsoft keeps refining the options available based on the device’s region.

    

33. Press Yes.

34. Decide on your keyboard layout preference.

    

35. Press Yes.

36. Click on Skip if you don’t need a second layout.

37. Your device will automatically establish a connection via an Ethernet connection; wireless will require manual configuration (enter security keys as needed).

38. (Optional) Whip up a name for your computer.

    

    Quick note: Naming your device may facilitate identification on networks, your Microsoft account, or during backup restorations.

39. Click Next.(Expect an automatic device restart.)

40. Choose the “Set up for personal use” option for Windows 11 Pro. This option is not present for Windows 11 Home.

41. Hit Next.

42. Click Sign in.

43. Provide your Microsoft account email for creation of your Windows 11 account.

    

44. Press Next.

45. Enter the Microsoft account password.

46. Click Next.

47. Click Create PIN.

48. Set up a new four-digit Windows Hello PIN.

    

49. Hit OK.

50. Toggle switches for privacy settings based on preferences.

51. Hit Next.

52. Hit Next again.

53. Click Accept.

    

54. Open the “More options” section.

55. Click “Set up as a new PC”.

    

56. Re-click on “Set up as a new PC”.

57. (Optional) Determine methods you’d prefer for device use for optimized system suggestions.

58. Hit Accept to continue. Alternatively, select Skip if preferred.

59. (Optional) You can link your Android phone or pick “Skip”.

60. (Optional) Use a code to download OneDrive on your phone or click “Skip”.

61. Press Not now if you’re using a different web browser apart from Microsoft Edge.

Upon concluding these steps, Windows 11 will have been installed, albeit in an unsupported state – meaning opportunities for security or driver updates may be limited.

Upgrade to Windows 11 on Unsupported Hardware from Command Prompt

You can also execute an in-place upgrade from Windows 11 version 23H2 or 22H2 to version 24H2 using a command that bypasses restrictions via Command Prompt. However, should your system still be running Windows 10, a clean installation may be your best bet.

1. Download Windows 11 ISO File

To acquire the ISO for the new feature update, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Microsoft Support website.

2. Select Windows 11 under the “Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO) for x64 devices.”

   

3. Click Download.

4. Choose the installation language.

   

5. Hit Confirm.

6. Click Download to save the ISO file onto your device.

   

Upon completion, you’ll have the Windows 11 ISO handy for media creation.

2. Windows 11 Unsupported Hardware Upgrade Using Commands

To initiate an upgrade on a device that doesn’t meet Windows 11 specifications:

1. Open File Explorer.

2. Navigate to the folder where the Windows 11 ISO file resides.

3. Right-click the ISO file, direct to Open with option, and choose Windows Explorer.

4. Take note of the drive letter assigned to the installation files.

5. Access the Start menu.

6. In the search, find Command Prompt, right-click and select Run as administrator.

7. Enter the following command to switch to the drive with the installation files and hit Enter:

   J:

   Note: Adjust “J” to the actual letter of your drive.

8. (Optional) Click on “Change how Windows Setup downloads updates”.

   

9. Choose “Not right now”.

   

10. Press Next.

11. Check the “Keep files, settings, and apps” option.

12. Finally, click the Install button to execute the upgrade keeping files and apps intact.

    

After completing the steps, your system should seamlessly upgrade to Windows 11 while avoiding the Out-of-box Experience (OOBE) and retaining your files and apps.

Note that the setup may sometimes display “Windows Server” despite installing the client version of the OS. While this command serves well to elevate a device from Windows 10 or lower, there are instances where you might hit a compatibility message. If that happens, it’s wise to give the command another shot or consider alternative methods.
