Valorant recently launched its Patch 10.01, which introduced critical fixes for Tejo and the new feature of Rank Shields. Nevertheless, players have expressed concerns regarding significant issues that were overlooked in this update.

Since the introduction of Tejo just over two weeks ago, Riot Games has promptly addressed several bugs related to the Colombian initiator. The January 21 update aimed to rectify some problematic interactions between Tejo’s abilities and Sage’s Barrier Orb and Slow Orb. Additionally, a fix was implemented to resolve the visual glitch where his Artillery Missile could appear stuck when it landed outside the game’s map boundaries.

While many players have welcomed these changes, a contingent of the community—particularly those who play as Killjoy—feel that the patch has missed addressing certain critical aspects.

Concerns Over Unaddressed Issues in Patch 10.01

Many gamers voiced their frustrations regarding the damage from Tejo’s missiles against Killjoy’s Lockdown Ultimate. Players expressed disbelief that the damage potential of these missiles was not adjusted, citing past changes that affected similar abilities like Breach’s Aftershock, which could previously dismantle the Lockdown with just one hit.

One player commented, “Not lowering the damage of the missiles against KJ ult is crazy,” highlighting the frustration surrounding this aspect. Another echoed similar sentiments, stating, “That’s why I actually thought the Tejo ult damage was a bug on pre-release and thought it was going to be fixed on 10.00.”

Players have described Killjoy’s effectiveness as significantly diminished in light of these issues, with some declaring her “unplayable”until the situation is remedied. “Useless to play the agent when they can legit break it every time KJ gets their ult up,” one frustrated player noted.

Further feedback included suggestions for altering the mechanics surrounding missile usage, such as reducing the timer countdown and allowing for multiple launches within a more reasonable framework.

Rank Shields Introduced Amid Contentious Adjustments

Another prominent feature of Patch 10.01 was the introduction of Rank Shields, designed to safeguard players’ ranked status. This inclusion has been met with relatively more approval compared to the unsatisfactory adjustments for Tejo. However, some fans argue that offering two Rank Shields feels excessive, especially when contrasting it with the single shield available in League of Legends.
