SM Entertainment’s new girl group, known as SMNGG, is set to debut soon!
As the debut approaches, the visuals and physiques of the potential members have caught the public’s eye, particularly a trainee resembling Irene from Red Velvet.
Before the end of 2024, SM Entertainment is prepared to launch its new K-pop female act, marking approximately four years since the rise of aespa in 2020.
In anticipation of this highly anticipated entrance into the K-pop industry, fans and netizens have been sharing rare glimpses of the members, all of whom have remained largely under wraps until now.

Recently, insiders on Weibo released a photo of nine trainees performing a dance cover of SNSD’s “Gee.”Despite their faces being obscured, their camaraderie and aesthetic already suggest they function as a cohesive group.

Among the standout members is a trainee whose side profile has sparked discussions for its striking resemblance to Red Velvet’s Irene, with many fans agreeing on the similarity!
Currently, there is limited information available about the group, but there are speculations suggesting that it will feature members from multiple nationalities, including Southeast Asians.
Regrettably, K-pop enthusiasts will not see the much-anticipated trainee Na Ha Eun as part of the girl group due to her departure around June. She moved to Highup Entertainment in September and is now preparing to debut with STAYC’s upcoming junior group.
