After McDonald’s teased a collaboration with popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat to celebrate the launch of the Chicken Big Mac, fans eagerly speculated about the possibility of Cenat receiving his own special meal. Here’s everything we know about this potential partnership.
In recent years, McDonald’s has teamed up with several major celebrities to develop limited-time meals that showcase their favorite foods. Previous collaborations include those with Cardi B & Offset, Travis Scott, BTS, and Saweetie. Additionally, McDonald’s has introduced a Genshin Impact-themed meal, which features an Apple Pie dessert.
Therefore, when McDonald’s shared an image of a bag on Kai Cenat’s streaming setup, excitement grew among fans regarding a potential meal centered around the Twitch star. McDonald’s further fueled this speculation by posting another image of Cenat holding the upcoming Chicken Big Mac sandwich. However, the fast-food giant did not confirm any meal collaboration in this announcement.
Is Kai Cenat getting a McDonald’s meal collaboration?
As of now, Kai Cenat is not receiving his own McDonald’s meal coinciding with the US launch of the Chicken Big Mac.
The company explained Cenat’s role in the launch in a press release on October 3. It stated that the Twitch star will “welcome his famous friends to try the Chicken Big Mac on his livestream and share their unfiltered reactions,” likely scheduled for October 10.
“Follow along on McDonald’s social channels all month long to find out when Kai and his friends will be going live and sharing their thoughts on whether a Chicken Big Mac qualifies as a Big Mac,” the release adds.
An ad featuring Kai on Instagram showcases him pulling the sandwich out of a bag during a livestream.
While it’s true that McDonald’s has not yet announced a dedicated meal for Kai Cenat, this does not rule out the possibility for the future. To date, they have not collaborated with an internet personality, but given Cenat’s online success, major brands like McDonald’s are undoubtedly paying close attention to him.
Though it wasn’t a collaboration with McDonald’s, YouTube sensation MrBeast recently received a custom-themed meal at Zaxby’s chicken earlier this year in May.
