Hwang Ji-min and Oh Hyuk: Engagement Rumors Gain Momentum

Recent claims suggesting that Hwang Ji-min is engaged to Oh Hyuk have sparked considerable interest among fans and media alike. These rumors can be traced back to 2020 when OSEN reported the duo was allegedly dating. Their rendezvous at a café in Yeonnam-dong captured the public’s attention, especially since one of Oh Hyuk’s friends was seen following Hwang Ji-min on social media. At the time, their agency was quick to dispel the rumors, asserting that the two were merely “friends.”

In light of the revived speculation, Oh Hyuk’s management, DooRooDooRoo Artist Company, reiterated their privacy stance when approached by OSEN. They stated, “We cannot disclose any information regarding Oh Hyuk’s spouse or personal matters,” maintaining a strict “no comment” policy when asked if Hwang Ji-min is indeed the future bride.

Hwang Ji-min, renowned for her stunning Western features, tall frame, and slender figure, is primarily recognized for her modeling career. While she has made appearances in music videos, her experience in acting and television remains limited.

On the same day that engagement rumors resurfaced, Oh Hyuk officially announced plans for his wedding scheduled for December. His agency emphasized discretion, stating, “We cannot provide details about the bride-to-be, the location, or the schedule,” confirming that the ceremony will be a private affair attended solely by family and close friends.

Fans were taken aback by Oh Hyuk’s unexpected announcement, given his historically low-key approach to personal relationships since his debut. With this upcoming marriage, he joins fellow Hyukoh band members in matrimony, as guitarist Im Hyun-jae and bassist Im Dong-gun each tied the knot in 2020.

Since their debut in 2014 with the EP 20, Hyukoh has captivated audiences with hit tracks such as “Wi Ing Wi Ing,” “Comes and Goes,” and “TOMBOY,” solidifying their place in the contemporary music scene.
