On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, a new website and X account were launched to officially announce the production of Ruri’s Jewels anime. This mineralogy-themed anime, adapted from Keiichiro Shibuya’s manga series, is set to premiere in 2025.
The official team has indicated that additional details about the anime will be unveiled at the Aniplex Online Fest 2024 event scheduled for September 16, 2024.
Keiichiro Shibuya debuted the mineralogy manga in Kadokawa’s Harta magazine in August 2019. Since its launch, the manga’s chapters have been compiled into four tankobon volumes, with a fifth volume expected to release on September 13, 2024.
Ruri’s Jewels anime to premiere in 2025
The announcement regarding the Ruri’s Jewels anime, which will premiere in 2025, was made on the new official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle created for this purpose.
The title, reflecting the mineralogy theme, is based on Keiichiro Shibuya’s manga. The announcement included the cover illustration for the first tankobon volume, showcasing Ruri and Nagi as they explore minerals.
Although the staff has not provided a specific release date or details about the anime’s cast, staff, or production studio, they will share more information at the upcoming Aniplex Online Fest 2024.
Fans can tune in to the live stream on Aniplex’s official YouTube channel. Keiichiro Shibuya has also shared a celebratory visual on their official X account (@Shibunoya), featuring the main characters, Nagi and Ruri, looking joyful.
This visual includes congratulatory text in Japanese, and the anime’s X account has relayed Shibuya-san’s message encouraging fans to anticipate the anime adaptation.
