Ryan Reynolds’ Secret Cameo: Hiding His Kids in Deadpool & Wolverine

In the movie Deadpool and Wolverine, there are many cameos from Marvel’s multiverse. However, if you didn’t pay attention to the credits, you may have overlooked Ryan Reynolds’ children. Please be aware of mild spoilers ahead…

It can be challenging to keep track of all the Easter eggs and cameos featuring both Deadpool and Wolverine. Not only are there various versions of both characters, but the film also includes other unexpected appearances (including one particularly fantastic one).

Before its debut, there was much speculation surrounding Lady Deadpool. Some speculated that it could be Taylor Swift, while others, including our Features Editor, argued that it would simply be Reynolds donning a mask.

The widely accepted forecast was Blake Lively, and it proved to be accurate. As the wife of Reynolds, she is a part of the familiar group of talented individuals that make up Deadpool and Wolverine’s crew. Cinematographer George Richmond, who previously worked on Free Guy, and composer Rob Simonsen, known for collaborating with the couple on multiple projects, are just a few members of this talented team.

Despite this, Reynolds managed to bring two additional family members to the movie: Olin and Inez, his two children. Inez, who is 7 years old, portrays Kidpool, while Olin, who is only one year old, takes on the role of Babypool.

The film does not feature the couple’s other two children, James (9) and Betty (4).

It was widely speculated by fans that Walker Scobell would play the role of Kidpool, based on his portrayal of a younger version of Reynolds in Netflix’s The Adam Project.

Reynolds expressed his gratitude during the premiere, stating, “I would like to begin by thanking my wife, Blake, who is in attendance. Her outfit is absolutely stunning, but I don’t want to give away too much.”

“I am grateful for my children, James, Inez, Betty, and Olin, who are all present here. If I am fortunate, I hope that this experience of watching this movie will be the most distressing event in your incredible lives. I am overjoyed to have my entire family with me today.”
