Ryu Jun-yeol’s Explanation for Remaining Silent on Scandals and Plans to Continue Doing So

On May 23rd, StarNews conducted an interview with Ryu Jun-yeol at a cafe located in Samcheong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul. The purpose of the interview was to discuss his new Netflix show, “The 8 Show.”

Despite facing criticism and feeling betrayed, Ryu Jun-yeol has chosen to remain silent about the alleged “transit love”relationship with actress Han So-hee. In regards to this controversy, he stated, “My decision to stay silent still stands. I believe it is best for everyone involved that I do not speak about the series of events, as it would only lead to more rumors and speculation.”Ryu also mentioned that his stance on the matter has not changed, as he believes it is the best way to move forward and avoid further controversy. Instead, he plans to focus on telling a new story rather than addressing the rumors and speculation surrounding his personal life.

He stated that while there may be multiple reasons, it would be challenging to provide a thorough explanation for all of them. Furthermore, he disagreed with the idea and shared that he had never planned on discussing it at a later time. He believed this reflected his character.

Despite facing backlash for his involvement in a “greenwashing”controversy, Ryu has remained honest and open about the situation. He acknowledges that his actions may have been driven by his newfound ambition after his debut. He also recognizes that he may have been too focused on maintaining a certain image for his supporters and the public, and admits that this may have led to greed. However, he also understands the importance of acting carefully and giving his best in the future.

After reflecting on his initial intentions, Ryu Jun-yeol realized the weight of the love he had received since his debut. He pondered, “How can I show my gratitude for this immense support?”This led him to join Greenpeace, hoping to make a difference while traveling and experiencing the beauty of nature. Initially, he approached the work with a light heart, but as it gained attention and recognition, he became more ambitious. He believes this was influenced by people’s expectations for him, and he now understands the need to carefully consider his actions. Instead of focusing on his image, he wants to return to his original intentions.
