Sabrina Carpenter: Apology to Mom for Explicit Lyrics in New Song

Sabrina Carpenter issued an apology to a mother on TikTok after her child’s viral video featured the explicit version of her recent song.

Following the popularity of her previous hit ‘Espresso,’ Sabrina Carpenter unveiled her latest single ‘Please Please Please’ on June 6. This infectious pop ballad incorporates elements of country and disco, showcasing Carpenter’s diverse musical style.

The lyrics of the song repeat the plea: “Please, please, please / Don’t validate me / And please, please, please / Don’t make me cry after I’ve spent so much time on my makeup.”

Additionally, this section of the song contains a profanity within the lyrics: “Heartbreak is one thing, my ego’s another / I implore you, do not shame me, motherf**ker, oh / I plead, I beg, I beseech.”

TikToker Brielle Cherie recorded a video of herself singing along to a popular song while applying makeup. However, when the song contained a NSFW word, the “Christian mom of two”chose not to sing it, but her young son did.

The mother’s jaw dropped in shock as she watched him sing the “motherf**ker”part, capturing the moment on camera. In the caption of the TikTok, which has garnered over 10.3 million views, she warned other moms to be cautious out in the world.

After quickly catching the post, Sabrina herself apologized to Brielle in the comments and reassured her that a clean version of the song has been released.

“Apologizing for the mistake, the pop star wrote, and her comment quickly gained over 461,000 likes. Brielle responded, stating that the situation was now irreversible and the song was a hit that would be remembered.”

Sabrina released the censored version of ‘Please Please Please’ on June 15, in which she sings “little sucker”instead of “motherf**ker.”This has sparked a variety of responses from fans, with some finding it amusing.

After the pop ballad was released, the singer-songwriter teamed up with Van Leeuwen ice cream to debut a new flavor based on her popular song ‘Espresso.’
