Sabrina Carpenter Responds to Criticism Over Billboard Success

Sabrina Carpenter responded to an internet bully by sharing a screenshot of their critical comment alongside a picture showcasing her song’s accomplishment on the Billboard charts.

Sabrina Carpenter shared a photo of this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart on Instagram and Twitter after her catchy pop ballad ‘Please Please Please’ reached the number one spot. The song’s success prompted the post.

Among the series of photos, she also shared a video from the studio with Jack Antonoff, who produced the song. Additionally, she included a tweet from user ‘chaserojo’ that criticized the single before it reached number one on the charts.

“I have never witnessed someone fumble a second single as badly as this. My goodness,”he wrote. Despite receiving over 192,000 likes on his tweet, he chose to deactivate his Twitter account shortly after Sabrina shared the screenshot.

“The ‘Espresso’ singer expressed her gratitude to everyone who has listened and made the release of these songs such a enjoyable experience. She also hinted at more music to come in the near future, as stated in her caption on Instagram.”

Numerous fans flooded the comments section to extend their congratulations to Sabrina for achieving her first #1 single. One user wrote, “SAB, congratulations boo! This is truly well-deserved. I’ve been a fan since 2018!”

“Chase deserves this embarrassment so much,”another person commented, regarding the hater. “I can only imagine how intense Chase Rojo’s DMs are at the moment,”a third person joked.

Chase later left a comment on the Instagram post, acknowledging that the ‘Please Please Please’ artist had proven him wrong and received a response from the musician.

“Congratulations, diva! You have proven me wrong,”he wrote, receiving thousands of likes on his comment. The popstar responded with no resentment, replying, “I love you, you inspire me.”

Sabrina Carpenter is familiar with facing criticism online; just last week, the 25-year-old was accused of “cosplaying”as a service worker while working in a coffee shop as part of a promotional event.
