Featuring Sabrina Carpenter in Fortnite was a noteworthy development, especially given her incredible success in 2024, highlighted by her chart-topping album and popular singles like Espresso.
Nonetheless, when the Caffeinated emote debuted, fans expressed their frustration regarding the use of the fast-paced Double Shot remix rather than the original song. This decision resulted in considerable backlash, with players sharing their disappointment on various social media platforms.
After a prolonged wait, Fortnite enthusiasts are finally going to experience the Espresso emote as it was meant to be heard. In an announcement on X (previously Twitter), Epic Games shared:
“We are updating the Caffeinated Emote to play the originally intended audio of Espresso in the upcoming v32.00 build.”
2. v32.00 Update to Kick Off Chapter 2 Remix
Scheduled for November 2, the v32.00 update will signify the start of Chapter 2 Remix, introducing a host of thrilling new content. Alongside the revival of the Caffeinated emote, fans can anticipate refreshed popular skins and the return of classic map locations.
This update also heralds the conclusion of Chapter 5, Season 4, which has been packed with exciting events and collaborations.
For those who bought the original emote and were displeased with the remix, Epic has confirmed that players can easily refund it without any costs if they prefer the authentic version. Epic stated:
“Anyone who purchased Caffeinated before this adjustment will be able to return it without spending a ticket if they prefer.”
