Hololive Production has officially announced the graduation of Sakamata Chloe, marking the conclusion of her three-year tenure as a prominent member of holoX. The agency shared the news via their official Twitter/X account, stating that her final appearance will be on January 26, 2025. After this date, fans will no longer see her participating in regular streams, social media updates, or live events.
In their announcement, Hololive acknowledged Chloe’s significant contributions: “Sakamata Chloe has been instrumental in the growth of Hololive Production through her numerous endeavors.” Noteworthy among her projects are her music covers, including “Nisemono Ningen 40-gou” and “Chimera”, as well as her original song “Jinsei Reset Button Pochi”, which has garnered an impressive 7.2 million views on YouTube.

Despite her graduation, fans can expect to see Chloe remain connected to the Hololive community. The agency announced that she would continue her affiliation with Hololive, a move that echoes how Amelia Watson’s departure was handled earlier in the year.
Hololive Leaves the Door Open for Chloe’s Return
This new approach to graduation allows former talents the flexibility to become independent streamers while still having the opportunity to return for special events. In a format reminiscent of Amelia’s semi-graduation, Chloe’s departure could lead to future appearances at significant events or anniversaries related to her generation.
This shift toward transforming former members into affiliates represents a significant change in the VTuber landscape, redefining how agencies manage talent transitions. Additionally, merchandise featuring Sakamata Chloe will still be available for purchase, ensuring that her fans can continue to support her during the transition to independent content creation.
The announcement of Chloe’s graduation marks her as the fourth Hololive member to either announce a graduation or have their contract terminated in 2024, alongside other notable figures such as Minato Aqua and Yozora Mel. This trend poses a considerable challenge for Hololive as they seek to fill the gaps left by these beloved VTubers.
