During the previous chapter, Amane had a confrontation with Shishiba in hopes of gaining insight into his father’s death. However, Shishiba simply stated that Yotsumura was killed as it was a responsibility he was obligated to fulfill.

Despite Amane’s insistence, Shishiba refused to elaborate on the matter, leaving Amane perplexed as he was aware of the close relationship between the two. Shishiba maintained that the information was classified and therefore could not be shared with Amane.

Despite maintaining his composure, Amane speculated that Shishiba’s actions were not impulsive but could have been influenced by the higher authorities of the JAA. However, Shishiba refused to answer any further questions on the matter.

This exchange brought to mind for Shishiba a previous occasion when Yotsumura had cautioned him about delving too deeply into his adversaries. Shishiba now comprehended that Yotsumura had his best interests at heart.

As Amane stood vulnerable, Carolina Reaper launched a surprise attack from behind. In an effort to shield his friend, Shishiba swiftly swung his hammer at Carolina. Unfortunately, the attack was unsuccessful as Carolina’s gas saber inflicted a deep wound on Shishiba. And just as Amane and Shishiba thought they were outnumbered, Kumanomi suddenly emerged, ready to join the battle.

In a sudden turn of events, a circular saw appeared from below the floor, causing Carolina to plummet through a hole. The following panel depicted him lying unconscious. Osaragi then emerged from the same opening and quickly attended to Shishiba before confronting Amane.

Despite Shishiba’s faint voice and the chaos surrounding them, Osaragi was prepared to kill him as she suspected him of causing Shishiba’s injuries.

The focus of the chapter then changed to the storage vault beneath the museum, where Nagumo was perplexed by the fact that Uzuki had managed to survive despite having his heart pierced.

Uzuki chuckled in response and then commented on the youthful appearances of Nagumo and Asaki, in contrast to Sakamoto who seemed to have put on weight. Despite this, Uzuki found their looks to be uninteresting. On the other hand, Nagumo appeared unsettled, as Uzuki’s mannerisms were reminiscent of Rion Akao.

In chapter 162 of Sakamoto Days, readers will be intrigued to witness whether the upcoming clash will be between a vengeful Osaragi, who is angered by Shishibas’ wounds, and Amane. Alternatively, the animosity between them may be resolved and Kumanomi will be vanquished.

While Uzuki has taken on the identity of Rion, Sakamoto has not yet reached the underground vault. It is still unclear how this situation will work to his advantage.
