Recap of Sakamoto Days Chapter 175
In the 175th chapter of Sakamoto Days, titled Karma, we learn about Uzuki’s past. The story starts with Uzuki waiting at the designated location, as directed by Asaki. Asaki had promised to free Uzuki’s friends from the Al-Kamar orphanage if he completed the task of killing someone. Lost in his own thoughts, Asaki patiently waits for his target.
While escorting her client to the destination, Rion becomes suspicious when the vehicle unexpectedly changes the planned route. Upon questioning, the driver reveals that it was at the CEO’s request and that Rion’s task was to eliminate any potential assassins. Growing even more suspicious, Rion requests that the car be stopped, but before they can do so, the left front tire suddenly explodes.
After jumping out of the vehicle, she pleaded with the driver to escape with the client and proceeded to confront the perpetrator. Despite being attacked and thrown aside, she was able to unveil the attacker as Uzuki by removing their hood. Rion, who was stunned, was stabbed and fell, causing her own hood to slip off. Now, it is Uzuki’s turn to be shocked and distressed by his own actions.
Despite questioning why Rion had to be the one to protect him and his friends, she explains that she did it out of a desire to protect kind people like him in this world. Asaki interrupts his mourning to remind him that he chose his actions and their consequences. Despite being shot by Sakamoto, Uzuki’s medical condition, situs inversus, allows him to survive as his vital organs are located on the opposite side of his body.
Despite being bloodied and in need of assistance, the man receives no help from anyone on the street, causing him to doubt the goodness of the world. He takes matters into his own hands and makes his way to the orphanage, where he eliminates anyone in his path and frees his friends, forming their group. With a newfound determination, he vows to eliminate anything that stands in his way, no longer concerned with the state of the world.
Expected Plot
Now that we know more about Uzuki’s past, it is likely that the other members of his group, particularly Gozu and Tenkyu, will receive a more thorough introduction. The upcoming chapter may also shift back to the present timeline, where the group may confront Uzuki about his actions. Additionally, they may shift their focus to Sakamoto’s National Store Chain plan.
