In the preceding chapter, Kindaka had been coaching Shin and Heisuke on the basketball court. Shin had aggressively attacked Kindaka, but his attempts appeared to have no effect until it was exposed that he had purposely loosened Kindaka’s shoelaces to trip him. Following the plan, Heisuke took a shot, however, Kindaka cleverly tossed his shoe and evaded the attack, then swiftly defeated both Shin and Heisuke with precise strikes.

Despite reflecting on the significant progress his students had made in a short period of time, Kindaka ultimately reminded them that they had reached their physical limits and could not push themselves any further. He also acknowledged that they would never be able to reach his or Sakamoto’s level.

Despite this, he recommended that Shin refrain from attempting to emulate Sakamoto and instead concentrate on honing his own unique abilities, such as his impressive ESP skills. Although Shin possessed the extraordinary abilities of mind reading, future sight, and thought manipulation, he had yet to utilize them during his training. Shin confessed that he desired to do so, but struggled with timing.

Shin had mentioned his interest in finding a mentor to learn these skills, so Kindaka suggested that he knew the perfect person. Upon Nagumo’s arrival, he clarified that the individual in question was not an assassin, but a former JAA fortune teller known for their impeccable accuracy.

The fortune teller possessed such great skill that they could confidently walk through the front lines unscathed. On one occasion, a group conspired to assassinate them, but fate intervened as the attackers all fell ill from food poisoning the day before the planned attack. Upon hearing this, Shin was filled with anticipation to meet the renowned fortune teller.

The scene shifted to the JAA Assassin Support Center, where Shin and Heisuke surrendered themselves for their role in the museum terrorist attack alongside Sakamoto. They were subsequently convicted and given a ten-year sentence in the JAA prison.

After being informed that the fortune teller had been imprisoned for repeatedly making incorrect predictions about Uzuki’s actions and was under suspicion of being involved, Shin saw an opportunity to train in a challenging environment. The jail was notorious for housing dangerous assassins, and no one had ever managed to escape alive.

At the conclusion of the chapter, Kindaka chose not to inform Sakamoto and instead found pleasure in taking a break from training them.

In the meantime, Shin and Heisuke are en route to visit the fortune teller of the JAA. However, they must first confront the aggressive assassins they are confined with. Once they manage to handle this predicament, it is anticipated that they will escape from prison instead of serving their ten-year imprisonment.
