Sakura’s Achievement Sparks Controversy

In a recent expression of gratitude, LE SSERAFIM Sakura once again faced backlash for appearing arrogant, with some accusing her of being “conceited”for claiming she has never been lucky in her life.

On May 13, the online community board theqoo was abuzz with discussions about the dedication page in the female idol’s 3rd mini-album, “EASY”, after fans noticed something unusual about her statement.

Sakura’s message began by expressing her gratitude to the team behind “EASY,”which includes Bang Si Hyuk PD, Source Music’s CEO So Sung Jin, and other members.

Despite the initial intention to acknowledge those who assisted in the creation of the album, the situation shifted to Sakura using the opportunity to discuss various aspects of her career, including her belief that luck played a significant role in her success.

Despite the numerous claims placed against her, the female star strongly denied them and emphasized that her success was solely a result of her dedication and determination, rather than mere luck.

She stressed:

“Isn’t the theme of this album ‘EASY’? But I think that I’m the least suitable person for this word. I feel like I’ve really walked on a really difficult path.

I’ve heard someone say this before:

‘Miyawaki Sakura is a person who took every opportunity with luck.’

Even when I heard it, I didn’t feel any special feelings, but it’s more like, ‘That’s what it looks like to other people, I see!”But when I look back, I’ve never felt that my life had any good luck. (I don’t want to say I was unlucky though).

If I were lucky, I would not have tried this hard, and I feel like I wouldn’t be where I am now. It wasn’t easy and I overcame a lot of hardships that I was able to become the person I am now. Because of this, I was also able to trust and love myself.”

Upon witnessing this, netizens were greatly exasperated by Sakura’s purported arrogance.

According to internet users, achieving the top ranking and becoming the center during Mnet’s “Produce 48″is often attributed to luck, as there are numerous deserving competitors.

During that period, they all put in a lot of effort and it was mostly a matter of chance to catch the eye of the general public. She clarifies that her survival during that time was not solely due to her abilities.

  • “If it is not luck that has kept you at the top with that skill, then what it is?”
  • “I guess she loves herself too much.”
  • “It may have taken you a lot of effort, but you were also lucky.”

  • “It seems like you are really, really lucky, but, weirdly, you have never felt that way.”
  • “If you hadn’t been born with that face and body, you wouldn’t have been an idol.”
  • “You may think you worked hard, but among domestic idols, there are a lot of idols who worked harder than you. I’m sorry, but if you want to claim that you really worked hard, first get top in singing and dancing.”
  • “To be honest, there is a saying that the entertainment industry is all about luck, but I wonder if your debut would have been possible without luck. It’s ridiculous because you look luckier than anyone else.”
