Saltburn: After the candles, the most disturbing scene in the film inspires a new object

Amazon has created a new object derived from the film Saltburn, revealed in a TikTok video intended to “shock” Internet users by riding the hype around a scandalous scene.

Amazon has hit hard for the end of 2023: Saltburn by Emerald Fennell is available on Prime Video, and the film continues to be talked about a>. The story of Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi) and Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan) will not have failed to frighten the most sensitive souls, to the point of making the rounds on social networks since November.

If the synopsis evokes the summer vacation of two student friends in the Catton family home, the plot is in reality much less innocent. Because it is a dive into the obsessive madness that Oliver harbors towards Felix, and the viewer finds himself torn between fascination, desire and jealousy which animate the different characters.

But if the feature film broke through on the Internet, it is not so much for its story or the work of its director, as for certain scenes which will have disturbed the spectators . Particularly that of the bathtub, now famous on the networks. A hype that many have decided to surf on… including Amazon!

Because the new merchandising around the film by the site takes advantage of the trend, this time with a new object.

We already knew the candles scented with “Jacob Elordi’s bath water” , but this time we are going further by bringing the bathtub to you. Indeed, if the polo shirt stamped in Gothic letters is not very surprising, the cup that the young woman is holding in her hand is very different… especially for its interior.

“Prime Video, you are sick and twisted for this,” said Cynthia Parker. “SICK AND TWISTED!”

In her video, the influencer continues by showing the bottom of the mug to the camera, revealing a bathtub siphon which inevitably recalls the one from which Oliver will drink in order to recover the most intimate fluids of his friend Felix.

“They put a bathtub drain in the bottom of the mug,” she continues. “It just seems wrong, it just seems wrong.”

Obviously, other Internet users did not hesitate to comment, having fun imagining the effect of a milk drink in the mug in question. Others, probably fans of Jacob Elordi, mainly wondered where to get the item.

Unfortunately for them, the cup is not available to the general public. It appears that Cynthia Parker actually received a promotional package for the film. But given the enthusiasm of its community, the market seems ready for an official sale.

Saltburn is available on Prime Video since December 22, 2023.
