As reported by Chosun Ilbo on August 19th, the Seoul Mapo Police Station has charged rapper San E (real name Jung San) with special assault on August 17th.
According to reports, a pedestrian named A was allegedly assaulted by San E at a park in Mapo-gu on the evening of July 28th. It is claimed that San E said “walk your bicycle properly”to A before hitting A’s face with a cell phone, resulting in injuries near A’s eyes and mouth.
After receiving a report, the police were dispatched to the scene and conducted a preliminary investigation. They then sent both San E and the victim home. However, after summoning San E for additional questioning, the police gathered enough evidence to book him and have officially launched a formal investigation.
In 2010, San E made his debut and rose to prominence as a producer on the show “Show Me the Money”. He is also recognized for his duet tracks, including “A Midsummer Night’s Sweetness”and “Story of Someone I Know”.
