On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, the official staff of Sand Land: The Series unveiled the complete promotional video and a key visual for the ongoing Tenshi no Yusha arc, also known as The Story of the Angel Hero. The anime made its debut on March 20, 2024, on Disney+ Star’s STAR Anime Series program slot and Hulu in the United States with the initial seven episodes.
The manga series Sand Land, written by the late Akira Toriyama, was adapted into a series of the same name. Originally published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from May to August 2000, the manga served as the basis for the show.
A film based on the series was released in August 2023. Surprisingly, the series continues to incorporate footage from the movie while also introducing new scenes and plot developments.
Sand Land: The Series Trailer for the Angel Hero Arc Featuring Muniel and Beelzebub’s Conflict
On Wednesday, the official X account for Disney+ Japan released a fresh promotional video and key visual for the current arc of Sand Land: The Series anime, titled “The Story of the Angel Hero”(Tenshi no Yusha hen).
The PV offers viewers a glimpse into the arc’s plot by depicting Muniel deceiving his subjects with a fabricated story. He reassures them that the courageous will always stand by their side. However, his wicked laughter and sinister presence contradict his kind words.
In addition to him, the video also features Beelzebub, Rao, and other significant characters. Accompanied by the captivating ending theme song, Drive My Idea by Tempalay, the PV masterfully portrays the thrilling moments of The Story of the Angel Hero arc, centering on the intense conflict between Beelzebub and Muniel.
In addition to the trailer, the creators of Sand Land: The Series released a fresh key visual showcasing Beelzebub and Muniel. Beelzebub exudes a serious and determined demeanor, while Muniele exudes a calm and prepared attitude.
Cast, Crew, and Other Details
The cast and staff members from the Sand Land movie return for the series, including Mutsumi Tamura as Beelzebub and Kazuhiro Yamaji reprising his role as Rao. Cho lends his voice to Thief, while Satoshi Tsuruoka returns as General Are. Additionally, Nobuo Tobita has rejoined the cast as General Zau.
The Story of the Angel Hero arc has welcomed two additional cast members. The highly acclaimed VA, Mikako Komatsu, takes on the role of Anne, while Ayumu Murase brings his talents to voice Muniel in the series.
Toshihisa Yokoshima leads Sunrise, Anima, and Kamikaze Douga, with Hiroshi Koujina returning as the direction adviser. Hayashi Mori oversees the series’ scripts, while Yoshikazu Iwanami serves as the sound director and Yugo Kanno as the music composer.
