Sarada Fought a Lone Battle in Boruto That No One Realized

Despite being saved by the protagonist, Sarada’s role in Boruto Two Blue Vortex has once again faced criticism from the fandom. This is not the first time she has been called a helpless character, and fans are growing weary of her, even going as far as labeling her a character with no backstory who constantly relies on others for help. However, in reality, there may be more to her character than meets the eye.

Since the beginning of the series, Sarada has been constantly struggling with her emotions, as her loved ones always seem to find themselves in dangerous situations. This all began with the Omnipotence Incident, which resulted in Sasuke being turned into a tree. Despite the turmoil in her emotions, Sarada manages to remain strong and continue fighting on the battlefield, which is truly commendable.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex began as Code entered the Hidden Leaf Village in search of the protagonist, who had vanished following the Omnipotence incident triggered by Eida. The antagonist encountered the Uchiha child and devised a plan to entice the protagonist out by using the Uchiha child as bait.

In an attempt to capture the Uchiha child, the antagonist was confronted by the protagonist, resulting in a fierce battle. During the opening chapter of the sequel manga, the protagonist successfully rescued the Uchiha child, raising doubts about the child’s potential as the wielder of the powerful Sharingan doujutsu in the Hidden Leaf Village.

After briefly leaving the village, the protagonist had to quickly return when he learned that Hidari and Jura had entered and taken over. Once again, the Uchiha child found themselves in a dangerous situation. Hidari revealed his intention to consume the child, believing it would provide him with insight into his own identity. A fierce battle ensued, and Hidari emerged victorious, leaving Sarada as the only survivor.

Despite the God Tree’s attempt to harm her, the protagonist intervened and saved her once more. In chapter 12, the protagonist impaled the God Tree and Kawaki delivered the final blow, resulting in the death of Hidari who then transformed into a Soul Thorn. Sarada’s role in the battle remained limited to being protected by others.

Following the Omnipotence incident, Sarada was left emotionally impacted by the labeling of her closest friend as a betrayer.

After the protagonist returned from a four-year timeskip, Sarada’s stress was alleviated as she no longer needed to awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan for him. However, her relief was short-lived as she received the devastating news that her father had become a chakra tree.

During the battles with Code and Hidari, her emotions were in turmoil as she grappled with the sudden arrival of the person she had fought for against the village and its Hokage, as well as the realization that an evil creature was connected to Hidari’s father. She feared that any actions taken by this creature could potentially tarnish the reputation of the Uchiha family.

The Uchiha child has been struggling with emotional distress, often described as a solitary battle, since the beginning of the sequel series. While the characters in the series have not criticized her for her vulnerability against enemies, fans are quick to judge and declare that her role as a character was finished after the events of Naruto Next Generations.
