Jack Doherty’s infamous McLaren accident, which resulted in his ban from Kick, has recently been parodied in a sketch on Saturday Night Live.
On October 5, 2024, while driving his McLaren on a rainy highway, Jack lost control of the high-end supercar and collided with the guardrail.
This incident left his cameraman injured, and shortly afterward, Jack’s channel faced an immediate ban from Kick, which was later confirmed as a permanent suspension. The crash sparked widespread reactions from prominent influencers.
Notably, Kick personality xQc referred to the incident as “diabolical,”criticizing the “braindead”actions of the influencer. On the other hand, Nadeshot, founder of 100 Thieves, suggested that Jack should face jail time upon discovering he had been using his phone during the crash.
On October 12, Saturday Night Live featured a comedic take on the viral incident during their “Weekend Update” segment, delivered by hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che.
“A YouTube influencer wrecked his $200,000 McLaren while live-streaming himself texting and driving in the rain. Even more tragic, he survived,” remarked comedian Colin Jost.

The video clip rapidly circulated on social media, where audiences voiced their reactions to the SNL hosts’ remarks.
“This is the first genuinely funny thing I’ve seen from SNL,” one user noted.
“Glad they didn’t mention his name,” another chimed in.
“I was surprised by how hard they went on him,” a third user commented.
Following the mishap and subsequent Kick ban, Jack Doherty has shifted his streaming to Twitch. As of now, his streams are drawing an average of 132 viewers and often last under five minutes.
It remains unclear whether Kick will reinstate the influencer, but Adin Ross mentioned he could help facilitate this if Doherty pays him $300,000.
