Sauce Gardner’s Response to iShowSpeed’s Claim of Beating Him in a Race

Upon being selected by the Jets in the 2022 NFL Draft, Sauce immediately established himself as one of the top players in his position. He was honored with the Defensive Rookie of the Year award and was named first-team All Pro, earning a spot in the Pro Bowl in both of his first two seasons. He has also achieved the highest rating for a cornerback in Madden 25.

Sauce has not only been vocal and unashamed about his passion for gaming and the streaming community, frequently engaging in games like Warzone alongside various prominent streamers.

Despite discussing these streamers, there was one pressing question that Sauce had to firmly address: whether Speed would defeat him in a race.

“Even at the mere mention of the possibility of racing against Speed, Gardner was quick to assert, “He may claim to be faster than me, but that is simply not true. While he is undoubtedly a skilled athlete and quite fast, I am confident in my own speed and believe I could match or even outpace him.”

In his time on stream, Speed has proven himself to be a skilled and athletic individual, even matching Sauce’s 4.41 second 40-yard dash at the 2022 NFL Combine with his own impressive 4.4 second time.

It is worth noting that the NFL star was unable to defend against the streamer in their joint collaboration in 2024, as the latter had already challenged Gardner in his own game.

Both are confident that they can outrun each other in a direct race, and it seems as if neither will be satisfied until the race is over and the ultimate winner is determined.

Sauce’s competitive nature is not limited to his performance on the field. In fact, he recently shared his desire to team up with some of his NFL colleagues and the top players in the game for Warzone.

In regards to professional players, Sauce’s goal was to position himself alongside the top players of the game, specifically the current Falcons trio of Shifty, Biffle, and Soka.

When asked about his ideal Warzone squad, Sauce mentioned that he would choose JuJu Smith-Schuster, Justin Simmons, and his Jets teammate Isaiah Davis among his fellow NFL players.
