After a 12-year-old girl used her school art project to try to stop the doors from closing, a woman became trapped inside the elevator.
Brit (brittto__) from TikTok ended up getting trapped in an elevator when she placed her cardboard poster project on the floor, likely to keep the doors from shutting on her mother.
In a trending video, Brit shared her experience of being stuck in an elevator. She recounted, “I was trapped in an elevator because a little girl was holding the door for her mom. She used her school project to keep the door open, but she held it for too long and the doors started closing.”
“The TikToker explained that the woman had left her cardboard thing in the door, and he assumed she would remove it before the doors closed. However, to his surprise, she did not remove it and the doors closed with the object still in place.”
“According to Brit, the elevator is now jammed due to her project getting stuck. She panned the camera to reveal a section of the cardboard poster protruding from the elevator doors and expressed her uncertainty on what to do.”

Afterwards, the content creator shared in a subsequent video that she was able to make contact through the elevator’s communication system and was rescued within 15 minutes. Unfortunately, while trying to remove the child’s project, she unintentionally ripped a section of it.
Upon the opening of the doors, the young girl and her mother were standing on the other side. However, instead of expressing regret, the TikToker alleged that the mother firmly stated, “That is my daughter’s project,”and swiftly took it from her grasp.

One person commented, “You’re really calm. I would be completely freaked out, especially being on the 48th floor.”
“Another person remarked, “I would be screaming and sobbing too, I have a terrible fear of elevators.”A third individual commented, “How are you able to remain so calm? I would be convinced that I was about to die.”
