Scump and Other Ex Call of Duty Pros Dominate XDefiant Viewership in First Month

The highly anticipated game XDefiant was released on May 21, 2024 and quickly gained popularity among both casual players and Twitch streamers. One particular player, Call of Duty world champion and OpTic Gaming veteran Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, emerged as a standout performer within the game’s first month.

Despite being dubbed the “COD Killer”prior to its release, Ubisoft’s first-person shooter was not able to dethrone Call of Duty as the top FPS game. However, the game has successfully gained a dedicated player base.

Despite facing some challenges, the game has managed to achieve moderate success on Twitch. It was among the top trending games during its launch week and received attention from many popular streamers on the platform.

Scump was not the only Call of Duty pro to dominate the viewership rankings, as numerous top players of the game were drawn to the new title.

According to SullyGnome, the first month saw the top 10 most watched XDefiant streamers, with the rankings based on viewership.

Despite rounding out the top 10, Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek had the most impressive hours watched to total hours streamed ratio, which could have put him far ahead of Scump if he had streamed as much as the ex-pro.

Anthony ‘Shotzzy’ Cuevas-Castro placed 20th, Tyler ‘TeePee’ Polchow placed 25th, Tommy ‘ZooMaa’ Paparatto placed 30th, Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni placed 40th, Trei ‘Zer0′ Morris placed 46th, Josiah ‘Slacked’ Berry placed 47th, and Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper placed 48th in their respective rankings.

XDefiant has seen a significant increase in viewership, thanks to its strong connection to the Call of Duty franchise.
