Season 2 of Kenshin the Wanderer: finally a release window in 2024 and lots of information!

Kenshin the Wanderer will return in a season 2, which has finally obtained a release window in addition to revealing some information on what awaits spectators.

Kenshin the Wanderer was given a complete facelift, returning to the small screen in a remake signed by studio Liden Films. The story revealing the wanderings of a former killer seeking to forget his past worked very well, so much so that a season 2 was ordered.

The first season started in July 2023, taking up the famous manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki published between 1994 and 1999. The second season was announced during Jump Festa. We learned that it would be subtitled Kyoto Disturbance, and a first teaser had been shared. However, no release window had been shared. But it’s now a done deal: the anime will return to our screens in 2024.

Season 2 of Kenshin the Wanderer will arrive in 2024, and it will be substantial

According to the official Kenshin the Wanderer account on X/Twitter, season 2 will be broadcast in October 2024.

The account takes the opportunity to specify that it will be divided into two consecutive courses. Which corresponds more or less to the number of episodes necessary to adapt the announced arc, that of Kyoto, in which we will see our heroes go to the immense city.

In the manga, the arc in question spans 11 volumes. This is one of the three major ones animating the story of the hero Kenshin Himura. The anime is supposed to adapt them all, thus differentiating itself from the first animated series which ended in 1998, before the end of the publication of the chapters written and drawn by Nobuhiro Watsuki.

As for the team behind the katana-filled anime, viewers will be able to find the work of studio Liden Films and director Hideyo Yamamoto. As for the casting, you don’t change a winning team: the voice actors shouldn’t change either.
