Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 PC Save File Location

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 on PC offers the convenience of cloud saves through Steam Cloud, but if your internet connection is not reliable, we suggest manually backing up your progress. You can easily do this by locating the save file for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 on your PC.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 – Where to Find Save Files

The location for the save files of Hellblade 2 can be found in the Steam version.

C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Hellblade2\Saved\SaveGames

The folder labeled “SaveGames”contains the file “NTSaveGameSlot00.sav”, which stores your game progress.

The remaining files in the folder correspond to the various settings that you have chosen. It is advisable to create a backup of the entire SaveGames folder in case of any unforeseen circumstances.

Faster Navigation

To easily access the save file location, simply enter the following address in the Windows Run dialogue box. You can open the Run dialogue box by simultaneously pressing the Windows and R keys.

%USERPROFILE%/AppData/Local/Hellblade2\Saved\SaveGames

By doing this, you will be directed to the same location mentioned above, without having to use your specific username.

Enable Steam Cloud for Hellblade 2

While manual backups of your progress are important, we strongly suggest enabling Steam Cloud support for Hellblade 2, as it is typically enabled by default. The saved files are only a few kilobytes in size and having an online copy is highly recommended. To ensure this feature is enabled, follow these steps.

  • Open Steam, and navigate to your library
  • Here, right-click on Hellblade 2 and select Properties
  • In the General tab, make sure STEAM CLOUD is toggled

By doing this, you will be able to resume your game on another device using the same Steam account from where you last stopped playing.

We are pleased that the save files for Hellblade 2 are easily accessible and not hidden in a mysterious place. The inclusion of Steam Cloud support is highly beneficial, particularly for those who play on multiple devices.

My initial impression of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is extremely positive. Despite being a demanding game developed for Unreal Engine 5, it can be played on high-end PCs with the help of various performance settings.
