In Pokemon Go, 3-Star and 1-Star Shadow Raids are available to players daily. However, 5-Star Shadow Raids will take place exclusively on weekends. Thus, Shadow Raikou will only make an appearance during weekends throughout September.

How to join Shadow Raids in Pokemon Go
To join a Shadow Raid, you must locate a Gym captured by Team Go Rocket. Participation in these raids requires Standard Raid Passes, and remote access is not permitted for Shadow Raids.
Players can obtain one Raid Pass daily by spinning the Photo Disc at any Gym. Additionally, a Premium Raid Pass is available for purchase in the Shop.
