PLEDIS Entertainment has released an update regarding the future plans of SEVENTEEN members Jeonghan and Jun for the rest of 2024. Jeonghan will be enlisting in the military, while Jun intends to pursue acting opportunities in China.
Shortly after this announcement was made, there was a swift reaction from SEVENTEEN’s devoted fan community, commonly referred to as CARATs, on various online platforms.
On August 12, PLEDIS issued a formal announcement.
The statement outlined Jeonghan and Jun’s plans for the latter half of 2024, confirming that Jeonghan will be enlisting in the military. It also mentioned that Jeonghan has pre-recorded content prepared for his absence.
Due to conflicting schedules, Jeonghan will unfortunately not be able to join SEVENTEEN’s promotional activities for their upcoming 12th mini album and the ‘RIGHT HERE’ world tour in October. Nonetheless, he is looking forward to attending the group’s fansign event and performing at Lollapalooza Berlin.
Furthermore, the company revealed that Jun will be embarking on a trip to China in order to explore acting and other potential ventures for the rest of 2024. Like Jeonghan, Jun has already filmed pre-recorded material but will not be able to take part in the promotions for the 12th mini album or the upcoming world tour.

We would like to inform you about the activities of SEVENTEEN members Jeonghan and Jun for the second half of 2024.
Jeonghan will fulfill his military service in the second half and has filmed most of the content he could in advance. He will not be able to participate in the promotional activities for the 12th mini album and the SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR in October.
Jeonghan would still be able to greet CARATs at the fan signing event and Lollapalooza Berlin. We will reveal more details about Jeonghan’s military service in a separate notice.
After in-depth discussions with Jun and other SEVENTEEN members, it was decided that Jun would pursue acting and other opportunities in China during the second half of the year. Like Jeonghan, June has also filmed content in advance.
However, he will not be able to attend the Lollapalooza Berlin, music show performances for the 12th mini album, and world tour due to an overlap with an on-site filming schedule. Jun has also expressed his determination to join other SEVENTEEN activities to interact with CARATs.
