On June 25th, SEVENTEEN, the boy group under Pledis Entertainment, kicked off ticket sales for their 8th fan meeting event, SEVENTEEN in Carat Land 2024. Fans were amazed by the challenging process of obtaining tickets to attend the event and meet all 13 members. The fan meeting is scheduled to take place in Korea on July 23-24.
Carat Land, the highly anticipated event of the year for SEVENTEEN’s dedicated fans, is a dream come true for many. Despite being a fan meeting, this year’s Carat Land will take place at the Gocheok Sky Dome, which can hold up to 16,000 attendees over two days. In fact, the scale of SEVENTEEN’s fan meeting surpasses that of many renowned groups’ concerts.
Soon after the ticket sales opened, over 2 million people eagerly awaited the chance to secure tickets to SEVENTEEN’s fan meeting. The competition was intense, as fans fought for every second. Vietnamese fans were also caught up in the frenzy, but unfortunately not everyone was able to emerge victorious. Within a matter of minutes, all Carat Land tickets were sold out, once again demonstrating the incredible purchasing power of SEVENTEEN’s devoted fanbase.
Despite being unable to acquire official tickets, numerous fans resorted to purchasing resales. On June 25th, several tickets were resold for an exorbitant price of 300 million VND, leaving many Carats (SEVENTEEN fans) stunned. However, there are still dedicated fans who are willing to spend the hefty sum in order to attend SEVENTEEN’s fan meeting.
Fan meetings, in comparison to the group’s concerts, provide exclusive “skits”designed specifically for fans, making them a unique and coveted experience. This demand from fans is so high that even with an estimated attendance of 32,000 people over two nights, it is still not enough to satisfy everyone.
Despite being active for almost a decade, SEVENTEEN’s popularity has not diminished, but has instead flourished. The group’s devoted fanbase continues to expand with each new release, a testament to the unwavering dedication and hard work of its 13 members. Unfortunately, with fame also comes the unwanted attention of negative rumors and slander from anti-fans, which SEVENTEEN has consistently faced.
Despite their leading album sales and expanding influence through concert tours, SEVENTEEN has been unjustly dragged into scandals due to recent controversies involving other artists under HYBE’s label. The group has faced accusations of being “fake popular”, with baseless claims from anti-fans denying their actual impact.
Despite the accusations, SEVENTEEN has proven their strength through their impressive achievements. Just recently, the 13 members commemorated their 9th anniversary with two groundbreaking concerts at Nissan Stadium in Japan, attracting a record-breaking crowd of 144,000 attendees.
The Asia Follow tour, which lasted for six months, is believed to have generated more than $100 million, exclusively within Asia. Out of the third-generation groups, SEVENTEEN has been the most successful in establishing a lasting presence. The fact that over 2 million individuals queued up to purchase fan meeting tickets is sufficient evidence to debunk the false rumors of being artificially popular created by anti-fans.
