SEVENTEEN To Attend UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassador Appointment Ceremony Today (Jun 26th)

On June 26th, Pledis Entertainment announced that SEVENTEEN will be present at the UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassador appointment ceremony, which will take place at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France at 5:30 p.m. on the same day.

During the appointment ceremony, the members will be presented with their letter of appointment by UNESCO Secretary-General Audrey Azoulay and will each give a 10-minute acceptance speech. The group and Secretary-General Azoulay will also engage in a brief discussion before the ceremony concludes.

The appointment of SEVENTEEN as an official Goodwill Ambassador for UNESCO will mark the first time a K-pop artist has received such recognition. It is also a significant moment for UNESCO, as it is their first time appointing a Goodwill Ambassador for Youth, a Priority Group.

According to the US music magazine Billboard, SEVENTEEN’s extensive list of achievements has earned them yet another honor.
