Seventeen: True Masters of Glastonbury’s Historic Stage

On June 28th (local time), Seventeen took the stage at Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage and wowed the audience for approximately an hour. Beginning with a mesmerizing keyboard solo by Woozi, they went on to perform hit songs such as “MAESTRO,””Ready to love,””SOS,””Clap,””Rock with you,”and “Headliner,”captivating the crowd.

Their impressive band sound and impeccable skills were hard to miss as they flawlessly performed 13 songs live without any signs of exhaustion. The Seventeen concert included exclusive unit performances, such as the hip-hop team’s “LALALI,”and the performance and vocal teams’ “I Don’t Understand but I Luv U”and “Chungchoon Changa,”respectively. These unique stages were only seen at the Seventeen concert.

During the encore, the crowd’s fervent singing of the chorus of “Very Nice” created an unending atmosphere, aptly dubbed ‘Infinite Anas.’ Seungkwan made his way into the audience, handing the microphone to eager fans, while flags and fans adorned with Seventeen logos were prominently displayed.

Local media reactions were overwhelmingly positive. NME commended the group, stating that “Seventeen made history”and their performance generated a significant amount of buzz on social media. According to BBC, the cheers for Seventeen’s performance were even louder than those for previous artists, and The Independent praised the group for their perfectly synchronized choreography and music that was easy to dance to, calling it a “masterclass in entertainment.”

Glastonbury is widely recognized as the biggest music festival in the UK, drawing in musicians from a variety of genres such as rock, pop, jazz, and electronic to its esteemed stages, famously referred to as the ‘dream stage.’
