SEVENTEEN’s Best Album Alone Surpasses 3.5 Million Sales and Dominates Mid-Year Charts

The album chart for the first half of 2024, as revealed on July 12th in the Circle Chart, showed SEVENTEEN’s top album ’17 IS RIGHT HERE’ claiming the top spot.

In the first half of the year, SEVENTEEN became the only artist to sell over 3 million copies with just the regular edition of their album. The total sales for the album, including the Weverse edition (ranked 38th) and the Kit version (ranked 48th), surpassed 3.5 million copies.

JeonghanXWonwoo’s first single album, ‘THIS MAN’, released under the special unit of SEVENTEEN, has also achieved noteworthy success. The album’s regular and Weverse editions secured 20th and 43rd positions, respectively, with a combined sales of nearly 790,000 copies. These figures are remarkable, especially considering the fact that it is a unit album and was released on the 17th of the previous month, resulting in a relatively short counting period.

In addition to recent releases, a significant number of older albums released prior to 2024 have also made it onto the charts. SEVENTEEN’s 2022 release, the 4th full-length album ‘Face the Sun’, sold over 200,000 copies and ranked 47th on the mid-year album chart. Among the top 100 albums, SEVENTEEN has eight works, including the 9th mini album ‘Attacca’ (ranked 67th) and the 11th mini album ‘SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN’ (ranked 71st).

Last year, SEVENTEEN’s 10th mini album ‘FML’ broke the record for the highest sales of a single K-pop album ever, immediately claiming the top spot on the Circle Chart’s annual album chart. In the same year, their 11th mini album also made history by achieving the highest first-week sales (album sales within a week of release) in K-pop history. Overall, SEVENTEEN’s album sales last year surpassed 16 million copies.

The announcement of a new album release in the second half of the year has raised expectations for SEVENTEEN to potentially achieve ‘million seller’ status once again, continuing their success from last year.

SEVENTEEN has dominated the Circle Chart’s 2024 Mid-Year Global K-pop Chart by placing a total of seven songs, including their title track ‘MAESTRO’ from their best album. The group’s songs have been highly successful, with four of them making it onto the digital chart, eight on the download chart, and four on the streaming chart.
