SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu Surprises Fans with Generous Gift to His Parents: ‘Please Adopt Me’

On Parents Day, Mingyu’s disclosure of the amount of money he gifted to his parents caused a stir among the CARAT fandom. Similarly, his fellow SEVENTEEN members were taken aback by the sum and their responses quickly spread across the internet.

During the 108th episode of “GOING SEVENTEEN,”their variety series, SEVENTEEN presented “Class President Election #2.”Mingyu was questioned about the philosophical paradox of “chicken and egg”in order to assess his decision-making abilities.

Initially responding with “egg,”Mingyu later changed his answer to “chicken”and elaborated on how he has come to appreciate the importance of mothers. The group then inquired about how he celebrated Parents Day.

Elle Korea recently released a video featuring Mingyu. The video, which premiered on April 8, 2022, includes an interview with the “God of Music”singer where he discusses his favorite items and shares a story about his wallet.

Mingyu revealed that the wallet held great sentimental value for him as he had purchased it with his hard-earned money from his career as an idol. He added that although he had lost the wallet multiple times, it somehow always managed to find its way back to him.

Mingyu: “It’s something that I’ve loved for a long time. This one has a story. This guy keeps on coming back and it’s really amazing.”

Mingyu: “I lost it but I found it a month later. Then I lost it (again) and found it after six months. I lost it (once more), reissued the card, and found it again. I lost it again, and I was using another wallet, but this one still came back (to me).”
