SEVENTEEN’s member The8 is gaining widespread attention on the internet for his unconventional advice to fans.
Following the release of their highly-anticipated comeback album, “Best Album: 17 Is Right Here,”SEVENTEEN has also dropped their title track “MAESTRO.”To promote their new release, the group has been actively engaging in various promotional events, including fan signings and music show appearances.
On May 12, SEVENTEEN hosted an in-person fan sign. Among the members, it was The8 who gained attention on social media for his one-of-a-kind advice to fans.
When a fan asked The8 about his thoughts on getting an idol’s name as a tattoo, he immediately expressed his disapproval. However, he did offer the fan some advice, which quickly gained popularity online. Fans praised The8 for his wise words and claimed to have been enlightened by them.
The fan was advised by him not to get a tattoo of his name, or any man’s name for that matter – whether it be her boyfriend’s or her idol’s. He believed that it is not a good idea to permanently ink someone else’s name on your body. Instead, he suggested getting a tattoo that holds personal significance. However, he did not support the idea of getting a tattoo of anyone’s name.
🎱dont get me as a tattoo, dont get men-, dont get your boyfriend or me as a tattoo. i dont think you should get names as a tattoo. if you really want to get a tattoo, get something meaningful to yourself…but i don’t really recommend itminghao’s “dont get men-“lmaoo pic.twitter.com/k6u0adPU59

CARATs rapidly shared the video of The8 on various social media platforms. As a result, he was affectionately referred to as “Master Xu”by his fans, who were impressed by his wise words and praised him among the K-pop community. Fans were touched by his concern for his own fanbase and his message promoting self-love. It is worth noting that this is not the first instance in which he has offered profound guidance to his fans.
I love that he’s always trying to tell his fans to be less delulu. 😂

Just like minghao said, I will be novel about tattoos, I will also consider my own body first, maybe I will tattoo things that are of great significance to me. I really love you.
