From the storytelling and imagery in the video, viewers were able to deduce that the music video for “Maestro”will address the incorporation of AI technology in art, portraying a “clash”between SEVENTEEN and AI.

Despite this, the video’s disclaimer sparked controversies when it disclosed that AI was used to create some of the footage featured in the “Maestro”Teaser.

In particular, AI usage has faced significant backlash in the art world as it has been accused of using artworks without permission for its “training process”.

As a result, despite their criticism of the technology, SEVENTEEN’s use of AI has been labeled as “hypocritical”by many. This is because their agency could have chosen to hire VFX artists to create AI-like art instead. Furthermore, numerous fans express their desire for the AI use to only utilize the production house’s own database, in order to avoid “stealing”from human artists.

Despite criticism, there are fans who are standing up for the group and arguing that the use of AI is necessary in order to showcase the limitations of technology when it comes to creating “authentic art”that only humans are capable of producing.

On the flip side, RIIZE has also faced backlash for their use of AI in their “visualizer”content, as seen in a recent controversy.
