Titles for five episodes from the highly anticipated Severance Season 2 have fans of the award-winning series buzzing with theories.
Unfortunately for fans, Apple TV’s acclaimed Severance won’t return until early 2025, nearly three years after its first season premiered.
Details about Season 2 remain sparse, except for a brief teaser trailer showcasing upcoming Apple TV+ projects. However, even minor glimpses of footage have spurred new theories among the Severance fandom. Recently uncovered episode titles have further fueled discussions on what might unfold next.
As noted by a user on the show’s subreddit, the WGA Directory lists five episode titles for Severance Season 2.
The titles for Episodes 1 through 4 are: ‘Hello, Ms. Cobel,’ ‘Goodbye, Mrs. Selvig,’ ‘Who is Alive,’ and ‘Woe’s Hollow.’ Interestingly, the list jumps from the fourth episode to the sixth, named ‘Attila,’ leaving Episodes 7 through 10 without titles for now.
Fans have already begun speculating about the plotlines of Season 2 based solely on these intriguing titles.
Severance will return for its second season in January 2025.
One Reddit user suggested that the first three episodes might focus on Harmony Cobel (also known as Mrs. Selvig).
The user speculated, “Just at a quick reading of these titles – are episodes 1 and 2 Ms. Cobel flashback episodes, and does episode 3 pick up at the ‘She’s Alive!’ cliffhanger?”
While some users are in favor of the flashback concept, another theorized that ‘Who is Alive?’ could explore how innies are “not actually seen as individuals at all.”
Since “Woe”aligns with the Four Tempers in Kier Eagan’s philosophy on the human soul, one fan believes Episode 4 will provide insights into “how the tempers are balanced and what MDR [is] up to.”
Theories surrounding Episode 6 suggest it may focus on Lumon Industries founder Kier Egan, given that the name Attila translates to “father” in Hungarian.
Regardless of the theories, fans have a considerable wait until the show’s return. However, lingering questions from Season 1 are expected to be addressed when Severance Season 2 premieres on January 17, 2025.
