Shane Gillis roasts Joe Rogan with Trump impression on Kill Tony amid RFK ‘endorsement’ drama

Shane Gillis revived his imitation of Donald Trump to mock Joe Rogan during a special event at Madison Square Garden held by Kill Tony.

The highly acclaimed comedy podcast Kill Tony performed live in New York City on August 9 – 10, and in keeping with the show’s most popular episode to date, Shane Gillis appeared in-character wearing his signature Trump wig.

During the introduction of the guests by host Tony Hinchcliffe, he made a mention of Joe Rogan and the show’s location in Austin, Texas. This prompted Gillis to interrupt him and launch into one of his trademark rants inspired by Trump.

Gillis humorously argued that New York was superior to Austin, as it did not have individuals like Joe Rogan, who he referred to as “absolute cowards,”dictating their actions.

The comedian referenced Rogan’s JRE podcast episode where he praised Robert F. Kennedy Jr, which caused some confusion as many mistakenly interpreted it as a presidential endorsement.

“Gillis continued to express his disbelief, stating that he actually wants to endorse RFK Jr. According to Gillis, Joe Rogan is a disgrace and a coward, and if they were ever to meet, Gillis claims he would not hesitate to confront Rogan. Gillis believes that Rogan’s actions are an embarrassment to the country.”

This was all done in jest, to add to the dramatic effect of Joe Rogan’s entrance on Kill Tony, as he appeared to “confront”Gillis.

This segment was a result of the real Donald Trump’s frustration with Rogan’s comments about RFK. Rogan had stated that RFK was the only presidential candidate that made sense to him, at the age of 70.

Trump took to his Truth Social account to criticize Rogan, stating, “I wonder if Joe Rogan will face loud BOOS the next time he steps into the UFC Ring.”

Despite praising RFK Jr as a person and appreciating the way he discusses things with civility and intelligence, Rogan made it clear that his praise was not an endorsement. He believes that the world could benefit from more discussions conducted in a similar manner.

The podcast icon additionally shared an Instagram photo following the Kill Tony show with Gillis and made a humorous comment about the entire situation. “Bumped into Trump. Everything is still good,”he wrote as the caption for the photo.
