Following the confirmation of SHINee Onew’s attendance at this event in Japan, the news caused Shawols to erupt into an online frenzy, subsequently sharing their humorous responses on X.

Each summer, music lovers eagerly anticipate the annual “Waterbomb”music festival, a popular event that takes place in multiple cities across South Korea, Japan, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, and Dubai. This year, the festival will also make its way to Los Angeles, further expanding its reach.

Seoul had previously announced its star-studded lineup for July, and now Osaka, Japan has also revealed its first artist to join the water battles and summer festival!

SHINee’s Onew to Attend Waterbomb Osaka

GRIFFIN Entertainment, the new agency of SHINee’s Onew, announced on April 25 that the K-pop sensation will be performing at the water festival in Osaka, Japan.

On August 10, 2024, he will join the “Orange Team”to perform.

The event organizer posted her poster on the official SNS of Waterbomb Osaka, confirming the event and including the caption:

“ONEW, the vocalist with gentle vocals that have the power to captivate listeners’ hearts. Let’s all be swept away by ONEW’s stage presence this summer!”

Additionally, Taemin will be participating in the event at the Seoul location on July 7th, along with other artists such as Nayeon from TWICE, Jessi, Simon Dominic, and others.

The “Waterbomb”event, which takes place during the summer, is a music festival that includes lively water fights. As a result, the participating artists are typically seen wearing summer attire that is suitable for getting wet.

As time passed, the tradition intensified as K-pop idols began wearing more daring outfits that highlighted their impressive physiques and body lines.

Upon the release of the news, Shawols (fandom) was overcome with online hysteria. Out of all the members, they were the least prepared for the announcement that Onew would be attending the summer festival.

Onew is especially recognized by fans for his more reserved nature, as he seldom reveals his abs or muscles, which differs from the tendencies of Taemin and Minho.

As a result, Shawols’ anticipation grew when they heard the news that they might finally witness the results of Onew’s dedication and hard work over the past few months to regain his healthy appearance during his hiatus.

Fans eagerly shared rare and iconic photos and clips of the idol, showcasing his impressive body ratio, in hopes that he would fulfill their dreams and fantasies.

Ironically, other Shawols quickly shattered this hope and asserted that in all likelihood, Onew would opt for a sturdy raincoat and goggles, citing his eccentric and unpredictable nature.
